It was not only Muvina who did not know how to react.

Nobody knew.

My people fell into silence and looks of surprise.

I had the powers of Phoenix.

Me, the Queen of Crescendo with the powers of a different King.

How could I explain that?

I could not.

And they didn't know that water also belonged to me now.

If they knew that both Fire and Water coursed through my veins, would they understand?

Or would they kill me without asking questions?

I hoped that they could understand, that they could see the girl they had known, and not just a powerful person. A possible enemy.

'Everyone out!' Muvina shouted, shaking the glass walls that kept us protected inside the sea.

Her guards fled in terror, surely wondering why a foreign Queen had so many powers. Gossip that would probably spread faster than any of us would want it to.

My retinue watched me.

And that's when it hit me.

They would follow me to the end of the world.

They made a choice.

They decided on me.

'Go,' I asked in a low voice.

Mena was the first to follow my order, followed by Galaga. Rayn, Polar and Aurora all lingered for a few more seconds, staring and challenging the Sea Queen, until they followed my order.

Russell.

He stared at me as if he didn't recognize me.

I knew he would still support me, but it didn't mean he didn't judge me. I could read it in his eyes, he didn't look at me the same anymore.

Maybe it was time he did.

For him to realize that Milaia was never coming back.

That now and always I would be Gaia.

Gaia, the Queen.

Could he love Gaia as much as he loved Milaia?

He lowered his head, and at Galaga's call, followed the others. Defeated, dejected, missing what he once thought would be his life. I was so sorry to have hurt him, to keep hurting him.

And then, only Phoenix and Caelus were left.

'I said everyone,' Muvina repeated.

'I heard you,' Caelus replied and began to walk towards me, until he stood next to me.

'You're provoking me. You don't want to provoke me.'

'And what will you do exactly? Try to kill Gaia? Oh, wait...'

My gaze was enough to stop Caelus from speaking further.

He had no control, he couldn't stop when it came to defending me.

And as much as I loved him for that, I also worried.

He had to control himself.

'The pirate is right Muvina. What you did is beyond name.'

Phoenix came towards me, standing on my other side.

'What she did has no name. She went to my Goddess. She went against everything I believe in and love. She defiled my sign. She should be ashes.'
