Anger is a lethal weapon. If you harbor the rage too long, then when it comes out it explodes. And somebody has to be on the receiving end of your violence. It had to be somebody who nudged you just a little bit farther over the edge. Sent you spiraling into a dark abyss.
Somebody who sent you into the depression. The regret afterwards is unbearable. Why did you do that to somebody you know? To somebody you love? To somebody who you see everyday? The hatred of others when they see what you did is just another push.
So then after that who gets the beating when you just can't control yourself anymore? Who is the person who you can wail on without the disapproving looks? The person who will forgive you afterwards? The answer is simple if you look hard enough.
Yourself.
