Willow
"So.. Umm... Jordan?" I ask as Jordan pulls open the next door we encounter. I sigh with relief when I notice that it isn't occupied by two smooching people.
"Yes, sweetie?" He asks. He pulls the door shut behind us. I settle myself down on the bed in the room. I nervously begin to tap my fingers on my lap, counting to six before I start with the next finger.
"Why did you bring me here?" I try not to sound too worried, but I can tell by the pained expression on his face I hadn't accomplished. He pulls a small box out of his pocket. It's a small black box that he twists in his hands a couple times before holding it out to me.
"It's not much but..." He trails off and looks at me expectantly. I timidly reach out and grab the box from him. His arm drops back to his side and kicks at the carpet with the toe of his shoe. I slowly lift the lid off the box and peer inside. I gasp and pull out the necklace inside, holding it up and watching the light glint off the golden surface. It's a golden heart locket with the word Willow engraved on the heart.
"J- Jordan- I- I don't know what to say!" I exclaim, jumping up from the bed and trying to hand him the locket back. "I can't accept this..." He reaches out and pulls me closer to him, turning me around so that my back is to him. Grabbing the locket out of my grasp, he pulls my hair out of the way. He clasps the necklace around my neck and the heart falls just below my collarbone. I turn around and face him.
"Yes you can and you will," he says. I gently tug at it and twirl it around in my fingers.
"It's beautiful," I say lightly. He starts to move his face closer to mine. He places his lips lightly on mine for a second before puling back and staring at me with his brown/green eyes.
"Just like you," he says. He pushes his lips to mine again, only this time longer. I lift my arms and wrap them around his neck as he wraps his arms around my waist. We stand there for who knows how long. Finally I pull back, amazed at the whole situation. "I love you, Willow." He whispers. I suddenly pull back, not expecting his words at all.
"Wait, Jordan, I-" I am stopped from having to say anything else by a large thud sounding out in the hallway and then hearing what is distinctly Carmen yelling "You filthy bitch!" I give Jordan a sympathetic look before starting for the door. I send a silent thank you to God for pulling me out of the awkward twist of events. Now all I have to focus on is what Carmen did, which knowing her could be anything.
