Willow
I watch Willow leave and see her flip Dax off. I text her, Why did you just flip Dax off!?!?!?.
She texts backs, Cause I felt like it.
I shake my head at the phone, That still isn't a good enough reason to do that! I'm going to go apologize for your actions.
I start to walk over to his house, but stop to read the text she had just sent, Wait, invite him to the party.
What!? I send back, confused.
Just do it. I start thinking of reasons why she would want me to invite him, but my mind comes up blank.
Fine. I start running towards him again. "Dax!" He stops, looks around, and waves at me. "Hey, um sorry about Carmen. She's um, a special one," I stop beside him and start panting. Barely able to breathe.
"Oh, it's ok," he shrugs his shoulders and starts to walk away.
"Would you like to go to a party with Carmen and I tonight?" I ask. I bend down to pet his dog.
"Really? I mean, sure!" He starts to smile.
"Great. Meet me at my house at 7," I say a polite goodbye and walk away back to my house.

"Mom, are you done yet?" I moan looking at the time.
"Almost," I close my eyes for a few moments, but open them again when I hear her set down the curling iron. "There, now you look beautiful."
"Thanks, mom," I smile and duck my head. We both turn our heads to the sound of someone knocking on our door.
"I'll go get that." She walks out of the room. I look at myself in the mirror. White sequin tank top, dark jean short-shorts, and black flip flops. An outfit that my Grandma had picked out since I wouldn't go shopping for anything. My hair in a waterfall braid, the rest in curls. My mom comes back in the bathroom. "Willow, a Kyle is here to see you," She gives me a look.
I shake my head, "No, mom, he is just a friend." I walk out of the bathroom and outside to where he is waiting. "Hey."
"Is it still ok if I ride with you?" He stands there awkwardly and plays with his fingers.
"Yeah, sure we just gotta wait for Dax and Jordan," as I say this they both start walking up my drive-way. "Ready to go?" I asked once they could all hear me. Each one mumbled their own form of yes. They all got into my truck, Jordan in the front seat, Kyle looking pissed in the back next to Dax who was looking as happy as can be. Since I was the only one out of all of us who could drive and had their own car, I agreed to driving them.
We all sat in silence as I drove to the party, not attempting to talk at all.
