Willow

That has been one of the best days of my life, I think. I walk into my living room and flop down onto the couch, thinking about the events of the afternoon. I start laughing out loud as my mom walks into the room.

"Have fun?" She asks.

"More than you think." I sigh.

"Well, good. It has been awhile since you have had some fun. That Carmen girl. I like her."

"Yeah, that's what she said." I look at my phone seeing what she texted me. Nothing. That's all it said I replied back, Fun.

"Is that her?"

"Yeah. I think she had fun to."

"Good. I'm glad your making new friends."

"I am to, Mom." I sigh, closing my eyes and leaning back.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~Next Day~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I grab my stuff and walk to the classroom.
"Hey, Willow!" I look behind me to see who had called my name. Cody. "Must not be too lost in thought? Only had to call your name twice."
"Yeah. Sorry about that."
"It's OK. So coming to my party this weekend?"
"Oh, yeah. I am actually and I am bringing Carmen and maybe Jordan if he is willing to go."
"Oh." He looks away. I thought I saw a brief look of sadness in his face when I said this, but why would he be sad? The feeling for eachother isn't mutual. It's only me with a dream of love that will never happen. "Well, I'm glad your coming. this is my stop. See you later." He mutters than abrutly walks away before I can say good bye.
I walk to my seat to see Jordan already sitting there, reading a book.
"Hey!" I drop my stuff and sit next to him.
"Hi. So, enjoyed smiling for the first time yesterday?" He asks, putting his book down. Giving me his full attention.
"Actually, if you can beleive it, I did."
"Well, it defintly was fun. I would love to do it again."  He sighs.
"I would to." We talked the rest of the hour not listening what the teacher was saying and miraculously the teacher didn't yell at us. Maybe she was happy I was coming out of my shell or that Jordan was making a new friend, since he didn't really know a lot of people. Oh, well. After the first bell rang Kyle, Carmen, Jordan, and I all walked to our next class talking about anything that crossed our minds. I felt someone grab my elbow and pull me behind the group.
"What did you guys do yesterday that was 'fun' and would 'love to do again'?" Sam asked making air  quotes with her fingers.
"Umm, we were just." But before I could finish Carmen butted in.
"None of your buisness! So get your nosey ass out of here!"
'I wasn't asking you!" Sam glared at Carmen, furrowing her brows.
I took a deep breath, "No, she is right. Get away!" I exhale slowly not realizing what I had said. Did I just break the golden rule that I followed by? Yes, it was minor, but still! Sam storms off, confused that I, out of all people, hadn't told her what she wanted to know.
"Wow! Willow's turning into quiet the badass!!" Kyle slaps me on the shoulder laughing. "What happened?'
"I think she is hanging around me to much!" Laughs Carmen.
"Maybe the fudgie wasn't a good idea yesterday?" Jordan joins in.
"Yeah." I nervously laugh, starting to hypervenilate.
"Wait, what happened yesterday? You guys should should invite me to things that help change people! You all know I'm a good influence." Kyle looks around the group holding his hand up to his mouth, acting like one of those snooty girls who just got told they weren't pretty.
"You? Good influence? Ha! And we will! Don't worry!' Carmens says then walks closer to him to tell him all details of yesterday as we walk up to second hour.
Maybe they are right, I am changing.
