Roxas End

Your eyes drifted towards Roxas, who was unsurprisingly messing around with Axel. The two boys were playfully slapping each other, but once Roxas had caught a glimpse of your eyes he landed one last hit to his friend before urging you towards him and patted the empty seat beside him. You politely smiled and almost jogged to the seat with excitement as your heart raced. You were bummed that Roxas never asked you officially to prom, yet you were hopeful you could slip in at least one slow dance with him tonight.

Roxas turned to you as you sat down, using his arm to casually shove Axel away. "Hey there! What do you think of the location they picked?"

Your focus was on attempting not to laugh at Axel as he was pouting in his seat. "I mean it's fancy, but..." You looked up and Roxas' eyes followed, watching all the hotel guests staring down at you from their balconeys.

Roxas scoffed. "Yeah that's kinda weird isn't it? Hmm maybe after we eat we can-"

"Hey foods here!" Axel piped in loudly as a plate was set in front of him.

You giggled and watched your plate served to you as well, turning a shy eye at Roxas. When the two of you connected eyes you saw his cheeks turn a light shade of pink as he coughed and filled the awkwardness with a mouth full of food. You ignored his reaction and chatted with him casually, your eyes looking upwards once in a while to stare back at the people above.

As you talked with those around you Roxas put on a graceful smile which had you mesmerized. That one single smile made you forget about the rest of the activity around you, and you couldn't help but prop your elbow to the table and chin in the palm of your hand as you stared at him longingly. You just wanted to dance with him already as the thought was unbearable. If only he asked you to prom, then you wouldn't be so nervous to even reach out. Seeing his smile as he chatted with you about nothing and everything at the same time made your heart skip a beat. In that moment you finally realized you longed for him, but you had loved him too.

"-Hey {Y/N} are you okay?"

His sudden question snapped you back to reality, causing you to blink and shake your head. "Yes, I'm fine."

Roxas chuckled and he did something you've been wanting to do the entire time; reach out. His gentle hand rested on your thigh as he gazed into your eyes with such a gentle look that caused you to feel hot.

"Maybe we could take a breather. I'm sure the hotel guests are making you uncomfortable."

You didn't say a word, but followed his actions as he stood up and assisted you to your feet. With a guiding hand he placed it to the back of your waist and directed you to two large doors leading outside of the building. Those doors led to one of the several ponds scattered about the property and you could feel the breeze and slight water droplets as the wind was blowing the water from the fountains inside the pond. You took a deep breath when breaching the outdoors, allowing Roxas to continue to walk you outside to the point where you were only a few feet away from the edge of the pond.

Roxas cleared his throat when you reached his destination, his hand pressing a bit harder on your back. You turned your head towards with him curiosity, noticing his face almost beat red.

You tilted your head slightly to the side. "It's my turn to ask; are you okay?"

He scratched the back of his head nervously. "I haven't been completely honest with you about a few things."

"Huh?"

"You're such a wonderful person, {Y/N}. So wonderful that I wasn't sure if I deserved someone like you in my life. But after all this time I was honored to watch you grow into the strong individual you are now, and I've fallen more and more in love."

"Roxas..."

"I'm sorry I didn't ask sooner. But would you want to become official? I'd be honored if you'd become my girlfriend."

Your heart skipped a beat with excitement. "R-Really?"

Roxas' eyes softened as he warmly smiled. "Yes, please. It's all I want right now."

You threw yourself at him, embracing him into a tight yet delighted hug. "I've been waiting such a long time for you to ask."

Roxas didn't hesitate to wrap his arms around your waist and give into your hug. You never released your hold but you removed your head that had rested on his chest to look at him, and before you knew it Roxas has lifted a hand to run his fingers through your hair. When he reached the back of your head you felt him gently push you forward as he leaned in.

You allowed it to happen. Your eyes closed as you felt yourself gravitate towards him even without his help. Before you knew it your lips had brushed together before finally connected into a passionate kiss. The arms you had placed around his neck lifted to his cheek as you cupped his cute face inside your hand as the kiss blossomed. Your heart was pounding from the rush, and you felt yourself wanting nothing more than that moment.

When he released and pulled away, you almost wanted to go back for another one. However his compassionate gaze from his bright blue eyes has locked you in and forced you to meet them.

"I love you so much, {Y/N}. I can't wait to see what the future has in store for us."
