CHAPTER EIGHTEEN

Queen Jennie's POV

It has been a few weeks since Chaeyoung left to travel at Eastern region. I haven't had any information about her departure but I sent one of her Knights to watch her and protect her. Until now, they haven't return yet. I trusts Chaeyoung but I want her to be safe and in order to do that I'll have to sent guards to protect her. I went towards the hall to do my duties and let this loneliness be gone. When Chaeyoung is not here, my mind kept thinking about her, I have to focus on my duties but her warm smile kept showing.

I prepared myself to enter at the hall I work, I sat down and began to do my duties. Ever since, Chaeyoung left I lost my apetite to eat my breakfast even though the food served was Chaeyoung's dishes. I have been alone at cold nights, I yearn for her, her warmth, her scent, her mesmerizing eyes, her love. Chaeyoung, I beg you come back to me. I have to feel you again.

I suddenly heard a knock and I let my maid in. She bowed at me and greets me.

"Good day Her Majesty, let this lowlife inform you about Lord Park's departure. He arrived earlier this morning and told this lowlife to inform Her Majesty as soon as Her Majesty woke up. Lord Park was accompanied by a young lady and he want Her Majesty to know about the child." She said while looking down. I immediately stood up and asked her.

"Where is Lord Chaeyoung? Why he didn't report to me personally?" I asked coldly without looking at her. I walked towards the door without hearing her reply. I walked hurriedly, I heard her answer she doesn't know why. I left her and went towards Chaeyoung's cabin. I abruptly open her door and I teared up when I saw her standing straight while a little girl was sleeping at her shoulders. Her back was face towards me but since she heard her door, she turn her body and looked at me. I immediately run towards her and embraced her with all of my might. Even a child was in her arms I still embrace her tight.

"Finally, you came back My Chaeyoung. I yearn for your warmth, your scent. Don't ever leave me again. I will do everything to keep you here. I beg you Chaeyoung." I said in my vulnerability. I have never act like this towards others only to Mother.

" I won't leave anymore My Love, I'm here and I will keep you safe too. This young lady I carry is Jangmi, she's my daughter. Choi Jangmi." She whispered at me and I just nodded at her. I saw her fix the position of the child and laid the child at her bed. After she settled the young lady, she walk towards me and engulfed me in her arms. Her scent is strong which makes me close my eyes and feel her. "I missed you so much Jennie. I have been lonely too without you My Love. Come, I will tell you what had happened to me." She said softly and we both walked out her cabin. "Where do you want us to talk? At your sanctuary?" She asked.

"Our sanctuary, It's ours My Chaeyoung. You owned it too. Let's go. I want you to ride Ha-neul and let Jin-hee take a rest." I said and pulled her hand. We walked with intertwined hands and I just can't stop smiling towards her.

I saw Ha-neul and I called her, Chaeyoung went on top of Ha-neul and I went behind her. I put my hands on her waist and leaned on her back. I felt and heard her heart beat loudly. I heard her shouted at Ha-neul  and he run faster. I tightly hold on Chaeyoung's waist as Ha-neul run faster.

We arrived and Chaeyoung went down then guided me to went down, I saw her tied Ha-neul in a tree . Then she looked at me, she hold my hand and we walked to sat down at one of the large tree here. After we settled down, I saw Chaeyoung took something on a pouch hooked on her belt. I saw a ring like a jade ring but it has a large shiny diamond in its center. I have never seen a ring like this. I saw her gently put it on my pointing finger. 

"I created this when I'm at Yangnam village, where Choi Clan lived. I've handled well all their wealth. I've found this ring and added this diamond to always remind you that you will always shine in my eyes. I've chosen to improvise a jade ring for marriage proposal because you deserve more My Love. I made you a promise Jennie, I'll marry went I returned. Now, I'm here and I had fulfilled one of Choi Chaeyoung's favor, I will mary you whether elder members like it or not, or even Joseon People wouldn't like me as their King. I already had a status in this era  Choi Clan's trusted person told me to take over the household and keep Jangmi safe." She explained while looking at my hand and planted a kiss on the back of my palm. "This is me, Park Chaeyoung proposing to Kim Jennie, Queen of Joseon Palace. Will you be my eternal love My Queen?" She asked with politeness. I teared up and nodded at her.
