CHAPTER NINETEEN

Chaeyoung's POV

It is our wedding ceremony today, I'm not allowed to see or get a glimpse of Jennie. Before we got here, we have prepared this for at least three months because there's a lot of things need to be done. Jennie have been very busy ever since we announce our sudden marriage with the people of Joseon. Preparing become long as we have to invite and select people to celebrate this jpyous day with us.  

Nobody complain when Jennie told that she wants to be wed with me. They knew that my status will help in developing Joseon Kingdom. While Jennie prepared for people to invite, I planned put everything for the protection and safety of this day. I won't let a mistake happen on my first and last wedding. It is why I called out the Unvreakable Knights together with Lalisa, I've told them to immediately inform me if they found something odd or unusual at the celebration. Thiis ceremony doesn't include the average people of  Joseon, hence this ceremony is for higher people and there will be another day for a celberation with the average people. People who are invited here is commonly Royals and higher rank people from other Kingdom. 

I am now surrounded by lots of maid who preparing me for the ceremony, I wore a dark blue robe with a dragon on my should and abdomen while I also wore a hat with multiple of beads in front of me. Jennie is the royal bride, she will be on a palanquin. She will be covered not until she will have to walk down towards the hall. 

I am done in preparing, I stood straight as I felt nervous at the same time. I saw Lalisa and she smiled at me. She walked towards me and bowed then greeted me. 

"Wonderful day to you His Royal Highness the King. I am here to inform you, We haven't found any suspicious and odd behavior around the Palace." She said and looked at me. 

"Don't stop in guarding the whole Palace. I don't want a single mistake ruin my weddinv ceremony. Also, I'm not yet a King and even if I did, I won't let you call me that. I'm your friend Lalisa and you call me as Chaeyoung only. " I said and she nodded at me. "Anyways, where is my daughter Jangmi?" I asked and before she could answer I heard someone running towards me and I saw my little princess. I carried her and she kissed my cheek. 

"You're going to marry Mother Jennie right? Can I have a favor Father?" She asked with her small voice and cute eyes. Then I heard Lalisa. "I will also inform you that Lady Jangmi wants to see you for an important thing she will say. You can tell to your Father now Lady Jangmi." She said and I looked at my daughter. She smiled at me and went closer to my ear. 

"Mother Jennie told me to tell you to have my brother or sister with her. After the rituals on your ceremony ,she wants you to sleep in her cabin." She whispered and giggles at me when I felt hot in my cheeks. Jennie is such a tease, she really like to make me blush. "Father your face is warm. Are you sick?" She asked and I heard Lalisa silently lauged at me. She knows my relationship with Jennie and she's not a child and innocent so she knew what Jangmi told me. 

"I will go there after the ceremony My daughter but how about you?" I asked worriedly, she touched my face and kissed my nose. 

"I will be fine Father, I can sleep by myself. Seeing you happy with Mother Jennie will make me happg too. Don't hurt her Father, I don't want Mother Jennie to be hurt. I love Mother Jennie and she loves you so much." She said softly. I carresed her face and looked at her. 

"I will never hurt you Mother Jennie Jangmi-ah, you have my word. I won't let anyone hurt her even you. I will protect her and you even if it cost my life Jangmi-ah. I love her so much too and I love you so much too. You don't have to worry about it." I said softly ans kissed her head. I heard someone inform us outside my cabin. I have to be on the hall first before Jennie. The ceremony is prepared and I need to be there. I gently put down Jangmi, she took my hand and I looked at Lalisa.
