Queen of Joseon

CHAPTER THIRTEEN

Queen Jennie's POV 

Winter has come, People of Joseon are busy and working hard in conserving foods and beverages. My new rule makes them prepared for this season. They will be able to buy what they need for this season. I'm now currently at the throne room, we are discussing about the dissemination of finance for People of Joseon. Elders are expressing their opinions at the same time which makes my head spin. Chaeyoung wasn't here as she's passionate in training the Unbreakable Knights of Joseon Palace. She wants the royal guards to keep me safe not their own nation. 

"I want them to serve for you not for your land. They are trained to obey and protect you even it will cost their lives my Queen. Just like me, those knights will sacrifice their lives for you. Bare in mind, their sacrifices and trainings are all for your safety." She told me when I went to the ground and I saw her. She also told me that these 11 royal guards shall not be given rank as they are not part of Joseon Army. They are a special group only for me. I remembered what she told me. "My Love, these knights shall not be given any privileges and ranks as Joseon Army, they shall not receive any gratitude from People of Joseon as they are only for you. I want to request, about their identities. I want their identities to not be known by anyone. I told them they will still able to join in Joseon Army but they wouldn't reveal themselves. If I ask their presence for you, they will hurriedly come for me. I want this men to disguise themselves My Love, so that I will be able to keep you safe." She said and went to put her lips on my head. 

I kept hearing the voices of those elders, shouting at each other. I decided to interrupt them and looked coldly at each and one of them. 

"If you came here to shout your opinion, then I must leave and discussed this matter by yourselves. This throne room shall be respected by anyone even me. If the elders are not cooperative at this moment then I shall leave and not waste my time." I said coldly and I heard silence. "Now, shall we continue the discussion or not?" I asked coldly with strict voice. 

"We apologize Her Majesty. Please forgive us Her Majesty." One of the elders said. 

"We shall listen to Her Majesty about the agenda of this discussion. We would like to hear how Her Majesty responds about the dissemination of finance for People of Joseon." 

"As I said, they shall be given fairly and equal to what they only store or conserve. If each family are able to save for the season of winter then they must be given fairly. I want the finance to work honestly towards this dissemination. If I heard a single mistake and hidden agenda about financing the funds for this winter without permision from me, I will all behead those involve in the issues." I said coldly which makes them gasped. 

"We shall work with loyalty and honesty Her Majesty. We hope to reconsider about beheading people Her Majesty. This won't be good for your image Her Majesty the Queen." 

"There won't be heads cut from their body if they obey what I had said. Are you all afraid of my consequences? I won't reconsider my punishment. I hope you keep my punishment seriously as I, Queen of Joseon Palace will never have mercy on anyone of you." I said coldly. "I hope, I make this clear to anybody here in this room. Do not betray me or you will face my rage. I shall leave now, it's getting dark. I want to hear a good news after tonight." I confidently said and stood up. They all bowed down and I walked at the hallway. 

I decided to went towards the cabin of my lover. I went inside and I saw her eating by herself.  She immediately stood up and went infront of me. She bowed at me and greeted me. 

"My Queen, why did you not inform me you will come?" She asked but I looked at her food. She saw me looked at it. "I apologize for not preparing food for you, I thought Royal Chef prepared dinner for you." She said which makes me accidentally inhale the smell of her food. I went towards it and sat down. She wasn't starting yet, She was just about to eat when I went here.
