"I'm still a little confused about what exactly happened ?"
Azari and Torunn continued to score the African jungle by themselves after Torunn's mishap. Truly it was a blessing in discus. Not because Torunn was alive well that was a blessing but because whatever launched at her was north and Azari thought that whatever was strong enough to knock Torunn fully unconscious had to be Technology advanced so well enough Azari was going on a full blown hunch here
"Well something blasted you out the sky, you were swimming your way down a waterfall. I caught you and saved your life" Azari respond as he pushed a vine away
With her sword on her back Torunn continued to follow the young prince with a raised eyebrow
"What was strong enough to knock me out of the sky, especially in this area ?"
"That's what we're about to find out. Whatever it was it come north" Azari exclaimed as his pointed the direction they were going
"So either we go there and find Wakanda, or we meet a group of unhappy tribal people who want us dead either way It'll be an adventure"
Torunn only snickered at Azari's optimism. Strange how even in a time like this he can keep so much hope even if what he's trying to find is lost
But as their journey continued Azari had failed to mention the obvious elephant in the room. Not because he was scared of it or anything. Not knowing what to say or even bring up. It's just he didn't know how to fully come by it. What is he gonna even lead or start with ?
"Hey I saved your life by being able to bend water and I think I can control the 4 elements like a Black Avatar"
"What ?"
Halting in his tracks Azari came to an immediate stop and pause
"What did you just say ?" Torunn asked again
Well shit that's just great
Nervously scratching the back of his white hair Azari sighed as he forced himself to look at the ground. He had to tell her. He didn't know why he's not saying it right now there's nothing to be afraid of. He can trust Torunn
The real question is can he trust himself
"I.....look remember those tingles I was feeling"
Torunn nodded her head
"Yeah well when you fell into the river and I saved you I felt another tingle. Except this time I touched the ground below and I could feel the water in the soil. I could feel the water all around me. And....well.....you had water stocking up your lungs and I was able to save you by bending the water out"
Just like Azari Torunn found herself in a blank state of confusion as well
"So what I understand is you can...control the elements-"
"Like the black avatar correct" Azari stated
Torunn didn't know how to respond to the news and when Azari sat down on a nearby stump next to a tree and sighed she could obviously tell he didn't either
Going over to the white haired boy she only sat next to him on the stump as he grabbed at his white hair
"This is all too much. I mean is it ?...I....I don't know"
"You wanted to unlock your mutant genes, and you did !"
"But it's not the right one, Torunn ! My mother had the ability to manipulate the weather, cause thunderstorms make tornadoes. Control the weather. I don't have that ability. What's so good about being able to control fire, water, earth or air if I'll never be as good as my mother...."
