Nunew's POV

I knocked on the door a couple of times and soon the door opened revealing Pure. She gasp as I smile slightly.

"Nhu !!" She exclaimed before hugging me. I blinked a couple of times before hugging her back.

"Where did you go huh ?! I was so worried !" She exclaimed with a hint of worry in her tone. I knew I couldn't tell her what actually happened.

"I am sorry ... I didn't mean to make you worry .." I said as she pulled away , holding my arms.

"You scared me ! I went to your office to check on you and you just weren't there ! So I tried to call you but then your phone was on your desk !" She explained.

"You never leave without your phone ! And then I thought you were somewhere in the building so I check everywhere but you weren't there ! I came home and also you weren't here ! So I thought you were kidnapped by those guys who wanted to see you !" She exclaimed as I smile slightly.

"I am sorry na .. I didn't meant to make you worry , I promise .." I said , trying to calm her down. She sigh , hugging me tightly.

"Don't you ever scare me like that again ! I almost called the cops because I was soo worried ! I thought something bad happened to you !" She cried making me chuckle , leaning my chin on her the top of her head as I squeezed her tightly.

"I am here now .. don't worry~" I cooed as I tightened my grip around her. I then sigh as my smile slowly disappear.

- later -

I look down to my food , fidgeting with the spoon. The words from Zee kept replaying in my head making me sigh.

"Nhu ?" I snapped out of my trance , lifting my head to see Pure , looking at me.

"You okay ? You've been staring at your food for quite sometime already .." she said as I cleared my throat.

"I guess I am not that hungry .." I said as I placed my spoon down , pushing the bowl aside making her sigh.

"Nhu , I need you to be honest with me na .." she said , holding my hand as I look at her.

"Where did you go just now hm ? You disappeared the whole day. You even left your phone when you never once leave your phone behind. Who was that guy who wanted to see you ?" She asked as I sigh. I wish I could tell her the truth but telling her that I was kidnapped by a mafia and also the guy I kissed was also a mafia. It'll freak her out even more after what happened today. I smile , placing my hand over hers.

"The guy knew my father , he didn't know my father isn't here anymore .. so he asked me to bring him to his grave to pay a visit .." I lied making her frown.

"Why didn't you tell me before you go ? I wouldn't be so worried .." she said.

"I am sorry ... everything just happened so fast .." I said making her sigh.

"Well at least you're home in one piece and that you're okay .." she said smiling slightly.

"I am going in first , I am already too sleepy .." she said , yawning as she got up. I chuckled as she ruffled my hair before walking into her room.

"Goodnight !" I shouted earning a hum from her. I chuckled before getting up with my bowl. After I washed the dishes , I walked into my room , plopping down on my bed as I sigh.

I then turned to a picture frame that was on my nightstand. I grabbed it , looking at the picture. It was a picture of me and dad on my 20th birthday. What I didn't know that it was my last birthday with him. He died a few days after my birthday.

- flashback -

"Nhu .." I look up seeing father.

"Aow , dad .." I said , closing my book as he walked in.

"Why are you still up hm ?" He asked as he sat down on my bed , facing me.

"I was just reading .." I said making him chuckle.

"A bookworm hm just like your mother." He said ruffling my hair making me chuckle.

"Phâaw , you know that I want to be a doctor right .. so I have to start now then later .." I said making him chuckle.

"Well I'll be here to support you always." He said as I smile.

"Thanks Phâaw .." I said as he pat my head.

"Nhu .." he said making me frown.

"Phâaw will always love Nhu na .." he said making me smile.

"Phâaw .. I know and Nhu will always love Phâaw too .." I said , holding his hand. He then chuckled before getting up.

"Don't stay up too late or you'll have panda eyes .." he said making me chuckle , nodding. He then slowly left the room but he then stopped , turning to me smiling as I did the same. He then walked out of my room , closing the door.

- later -

I woke up to a loud sound. I look at the time realising it was 2 am in the morning. I frown , getting out of bed slowly as I walked out of the room. I then saw lights coming from Phâaw's study room. I walked towards it , knocking on the door.

"Phâaw .. is everything okay in there ?" I asked , earning no reply from him. I frown in confusion before turning the knob , pushing the door open.

"Phâaw , You o-." My eyes widened seeing father on the ground.

"Phâaw !!" I shouted as I ran towards him. I held him tightly and soon saw blood flowing down from his temple. I breathe hard as I then look down to see a gun in his hand. My heart froze realizing it was a gunshot.

"No .. no !" I said softly in disbelief as tears rolled down my cheeks.

"Phâaw ! Wake up !!" I cried , shaking him, trying to wake him up.

"No ! No ! Please !" I cried as I shook my head , placing my two finger on his neck , trying to find his pulse. My hands shake as tears rolled down realising there was no pulse.

"Phâaw ! Please ! Don't do this to Nhu ! Please !" I cried , hugging him tightly as my body shake.

"Aunt Ja ! Pure !!" I shouted as I held Father tightly against me. Soon Pure and Aunt Ja came rushing in. Their eyes widened seeing me holding father tightly as I cried.

"Park !" Shouted Aunt Ja as she ran to me with Pure. Pure looked at Father , breathing hard as tears rolled down her cheeks.

"Phâaw .." I cried as Aunt Ja sobbed , holding me tightly. I shook my head , holding Phâaw's hand tightly as I cried uncontrollably.

Tears rolled down my cheeks as I remember that tragic day. I breathe shakily , touching the picture.

"How could you leave me all alone here , Phâaw .." I whispered as I hugged the picture tightly.
