Epilogue 2

Nunew's POV.

I look out the window as we passed the beautiful trees. I turned my head , seeing Zee who was focused on driving with one hand on the steering wheel while the other is resting on my thigh as usual. I smile , feeling nothing but happy. Zee then turned to glance at me when he realized I was staring at him.

"What's wrong hm ?" He asked , still driving.

"Nothing .. I was just wondering how lucky I am to have such handsome , charming and loving husband ..." I said making him chuckle.

"If you are lucky , I am the luckiest man on earth to have a husband like you .." he said , grabbing my hand as he placed a loving kiss on my knuckles making my heart flutter as usual.

"Sweet talker hm .." I said , caressing his cheek before placing with his earring.

"It's all your fault for making me this soft .." he said making me giggle. Soon a thought came across my mind.

"Baby .." I said making him hum in reply.

"Are you still planning to continue to be a mafia leader ?" I asked making him glance at me.

"Why the sudden question hm ?" He asked.

"I don't know .. it's just that .. we finally got to see each other properly after weeks because I was busy with work and you were busy settling your mafia business .." I said.

"I know this is what you were brought up to do .. but how long are you going to stay in this business ?" I asked.

"Don't get me wrong , I love you for who you are and I'll support you no matter what." I said , sternly so that he wouldn't misunderstand it.

"Hm .. I haven't really thought about it ..." he said.

"Being a mafia leader has always been my goal for all of my life .. ever since your father trained me to be one .." he said.

"I not really sure how long I will stay in this type of business .." he said , glancing at me.

"I am sorry if I can't give you a proper answer baby .." he said making me shake my head.

"Why are you apologizing ? It's not your fault .. I know that you love this job .. you love the team ..and as your husband , I can assure you that I am going to keep supporting you no matter what .." I said making him smile fondly.

"I love you angel ..." he said.

"I love you too .." I said making him kiss my knuckles repeatedly.

We finally arrived the resort where me and Zee are going to stay to celebrate our anniversary. The hotelier took our bags as we walked towards the counter.

"Welcome to Paradise Resort Mr and Mr Panich." Said the worker , bowing slightly making me smile.

"Is our room ready ?" Asked Zee making her nod.

"Krub .. here is the card to your suite , please enjoy your stay .." she said with a smile.

"Thank you .." I said as I look at Zee , smiling. I held Zee's hand as we head up to our suite. I used the card and soon the door unlocked. I push the door open revealing our big suite. I look around the room , smiling in satisfaction. I then saw a balcony making me run towards it excitedly. I slide open the door and was greeted by the afternoon breeze. The view was beautiful , we could see the sunset from our room. I sigh happily , closing my eyes. Soon two strong arms snake around my petite waist making me smile as I smell the familiar vanilla scent.

"Are you happy ?" Asked Zee making me open my eyes.

"I am so happy .. this is perfect .." I said as I leaned my head against his.

"Can't believe how 3 years has passed .." I said as we both watch the sunset in each other's arms.

"It's crazy .." he said making me nod.

"It seems like yesterday we were at that masquerade party .." I said , giggling. I then turned around in his arms , wrapping my arms around his waist.

"You know , I am glad that I decided to go to that party.." I said.

"Why is that so ?" He asked , fixing my hair that was messed up by the wind.

"If I didn't go to that party .. I wouldn't have crossed paths with you .." I said.

"We wouldn't go through all those challenges we faced if I didn't meet you that night .." I said.

"Isn't that a good thing ? At least I wouldn't lose you .." he said making me chuckle , shaking my head.

"If I were to go back in time , I wouldn't change anything at all .." I said.

"Because everything that we face before lead us to where we are now .." I said making him smile.

"Meeting you at that party .. has got to be my favorite thing on earth .." I continued making him nod , grabbing my chin placing his lips on mine sweetly. I pulled away , leaning my head on his chest as he tightened his grip around me , sighing in relief.

Me and Zee decided to take a late night walk at the beach after dinner. I hugged Zee's arm as we walked. I leaned my head on Zee's shoulder making him kiss the top of my head.

"There's a bar there .. should we get some drinks ?" He asked making me nod , excitedly. We head to the bar , taking a seat as the bartender came to us.

"Give us your fine wine." Said Zee.

"Yes sir , coming up .." said the bartender as he then walked to the back.

"I am going to head to the bathroom for awhile .." Said Zee making me nod. He smile , caressing my head lovingly before leaving to the bathroom.

I sigh , pouting as I look at my phone while waiting for Zee to comeback. I look through all the pictures of me and Zee in the past years. I smile , remembering our post-honeymoon in Maldives. It was a short trip yet a romantic one. I then swiped and soon saw a picture of me and Zee that we took a few minutes ago.

I smile lovingly , making sure to set it as my wallpaper. I soon felt a tapped on my shoulder making me smile , knowing it was Zee. I turned around and soon my eyes widened.

"J-Jade ?" I said.

"Nunew .. wow .. I didn't expect to see you here .." he said.

"I didn't expect to see you here too .." I said , not sure how to react.

"Wow .. you still look beautiful.." he said.

"Thank you .." I said with a slight smile.

"So .. how are you ? I haven't heard from you ever since that night  .."  he said as I cleared my throat.

"Never better .. you ?" I asked.

"Same .." he said as he look down.

"Nhu .." he said.

"Listen I am sorry for what happened in the past ... I regretted it till this day for treating you like shit ... but trust me , even though years passed , there was not a day where I hope I would cross paths with you again .." He confessed making me freeze. He then grabbed my hand.

"I want to make things right again between us." He said making my eyes widened.
