The two Saturday morning classes (Physical Education and a Gen Ed subject) ended earlier than usual. At 12:30PM, Elise and I are walking to the canteen for lunch. I've been quiet since this morning, while Elise, on the other hand, has been laughing at me every time possible. Even our professor had glared at her numerous times during class.

If only she's not my friend, I'll wish she'd choke.

"Ah... my gosh, my stomach is aching—," she wiped her eyes.

"You've been laughing like crazy since this morning," I said with a pout. We each took a piece of cream buns, some chips, and a 250mL bottle of strawberry milk.

Elise headed to the nearest empty table.

She snorted at me as she sat down, "I felt like I inhaled a ton of laughing gas." She tapped my back, "Sorry if I annoy you Rosie. It's just that—pfff!" And she laughed again.

I sighed, settling my food on the table and sitting opposite her. The place is getting filled by the minute. Students with Saturday classes started to arrive for lunch.

"Okay, okay, I'll stop." She made a motion like zipping her mouth. "Now tell me about it."

"I already told you."

"I mean in detail," she poked my side.

I sighed. "Stop teasing me."

"Fine. But I don't think I can stop myself from laughing if I ever see Alison."

"Oh, please don't you ever..." That would be the end of me.

"Don't worry, I won't tease him," Elise winked.

I have a bad feeling about that wink.

"I didn't know he's such a chicken." Elise continued.

"Don't."

"Or he's just being an introvert."

I looked at her.

Elise shrugged. "I read somewhere that introverts don't like touching and being touched. And Alison is the biggest introvert I know."

I didn't comment. Yeah, JK is not the touchy or clingy type of person. But he can be sweet in his own way.

"I just don't think he wants us to reach that level yet," I muttered.

Elise didn't respond. Instead she got busy with her phone. I noticed her expression changed. She seemed suddenly annoyed at something.

"Why?" I asked. She threw her phone inside her bag and didn't say anything. "I'm guessing. Jim?" I smirked.

"No," she said abruptly and started to eat.

I raised my eyebrows and watched her in silence. No one can ever change Elise's mood like Jim Inocencio can. I tapped her hand, "Hey El. Now tell me... about you and Jim."
