A Little Lost

     Kokichi led me to a dark cave.

     "Are.. we really going in here..?" I asked Kokichi.
     "Well, we're only staying for a bit.. Just to get away from that bitchlet." he said, as he started walking into the cave.

As we were walking through the cave, I heard a sudden noise that made me tighten my grip on Kokichi's hand. Wait..

"Kokichi.." I looked at our hands.
He looked at me. "What?"

Kokichi noticed, and immediately let go. I felt the warmth of his hand slowly going away.

"Sorry.. Wait- I- well-" he said. "Lets.. just continue walking." He continued walking in the cave.

I looked at my hand, and caught myself wishing the warmth would've lasted longer.

     Me and Kokichi sat down somewhere. I thought back to the flashback I had with Kaede.

     She grabbed a red rose. "I feel like.. This is the flower that gives me hope."

     I looked over to Kokichi.

     "Hey, Kokichi.." I said. "What's your favorite flower..? Like.. the flower that gives you hope."

He looked at me, confused. "Hope? I only know despair!"

"I'm sorry that was a lie," he said.

"So...."

Kokichi opened his inventory and took out a flower with red petals. "This one, isn't it pretty? Like the color of blood when you stab someone!"

"It sure is pretty.." I said. "But not because it looks like.. er.. blood."

"As she would say, it would be too gory.. I'm assuming the flower that gives you hope is that pink one. Cherry blossoms."
"Wha-"
"Shuichi!" Kokichi threw a piece of bread at me. "Here, take some."

I look at the piece of bread. "Hey, isn't this the bread you stole from th-"

"Huh? Me? Steal?" Kokichi laughed. "What are you talking about."

"But y-"

"Just eat it." Kokichi shoved the bread in my mouth.

It was dark outside.

I stood up. "Hey, we should be able to go now, right?"

Kokichi nodded. "But first, you should put on your cloak. Camouflage with the darkness.. or something. I don't know, your emo."

Kokichi grabbed my hand, and dragged me out of the cave.

"Alright.. Now where do we go from here?" I asked him.

Kokichi looked at me. "Haha, not sure actually.."

       We heard something from the bushes.

     "What's that..?" I asked Kokichi.

    "Probably just a small, dumb wolf. I'll take it down!" Kokichi opened up his inventory, but suddenly went silent. "Shit.. I left my wand at Miu's.. blacksmith invention building shit, whatever you want to call it."

The wolf jumped out of the bushes. It was small, like the size of a puppy.

Despite it being small, Kokichi screamed and grabbed my arm.

"So uh.." I said. "Should I kill it..?"

"Kill it. Go and be my savior." he said.

With my sword in hand, I swung the sword at the small wolf.

Kokichi sighed in relief.

"Aren't you like- level 70 something?" I asked him. "Are you like.. Nothing without your staff?"

Kokichi nervously smiled at me. "Whaa...? Me? Afraid? Of course not! That was merely a- test! To see if you could kill the wolf! Yeah, a test!"

     I sighed because of the fact that I knew he was lying.
     "So what about your staff? You did forget it." I asked him.

     "We're gonna have to sneak in and steal it!" he told me. "But first of all— we're lost."
     "..And who's fault is that?"
     "Anyways—" said Kokichi, changing the subject. "That sword was impressively done, as expected from her. You should be able to get the hang of this game eventually!"

     I nodded.

     "Hey, what level are you now?" Kokichi asked. "Because of that attack, you should've leveled up a bit."

     I looked at my level.

     Level 3

     "Well isn't that nice?" said Kokichi. "You finally leveled up."

     "So back to the topic.. We're lost. What do we do?" I asked.

     "Walk around until we find the village, duh."

     "Doesn't that get people more lost?"

     We heard noises coming from a bush, and Kokichi ran behind me.

     "Your a complete wuss without your staff.." I said.

     "Yeah, yeah, shut up.." he told me. "Just, what's in the bush?"

   A rabbit jumped out.

...

"Kokichi, It's just a rabbit," I said, picking it up and showing it to him. Kokichi stared at it.

"Kill it." he said,

"Huh? Wai-"

"Never mind then." Kokichi took out a rolled piece of paper. "Just letting you know.. I've had a map this whole time."

Kokichi smirked at me.

"Kokichi.. You little-" I reached out to grab him, but he dodged.

"Your so slow, Shuichi," he told me. "Try and keep up with me, I'll be making my way towards the village~"

And so, I ended up having a hard time keeping up with Kokichi. But luckily for me, I ended up catching up to him at one point.
