Awkwardness

     "Nngh.." I tiredly opened my eyes and groaned.

     "Morning sleepyhead," I looked up and Kokichi's face was right infront of mine.

     "GAH-" I jumped. Kokichi had a straight face the entire time, while my face was burning. Our faces were so close.. Did I really fall asleep ontop of him- and last night I-

     I covered my mouth in embarrassment, and Kokichi laughed at me.

     "If you're falling for me just say so," he said.

     I looked away from him.  "I am.." I muttered.

     "Wait what..?"

     "Nothing. We need to head to Miu's, right?" I grabbed the bag on the table, put on my cloak. and rushed out the door, leaving Kokichi sitting on the bed, stunned.

    Why did I say that.

     I waited for Kokichi downstairs, and we didn't even look at each other. We walked to Miu's blacksmith, with the awkward tension in the air. I wanted to say something, but I didn't know what.

We got to Miu's, and Kokichi opened the door. "Hey, bitch."

Miu was sitting down, reading with Keebo. Miu groaned loudly.

     "Ughhh! And here I was hoping I wouldn't see you two whores again," she shut her book and placed it on the table. "What the fuck do you want?"

     "Need you to do something Miu," Kokichi took out his broken cloak and the bag of stuff we bought from Gonta. "I need you to fix my cloak. And uh.." Kokichi looked at me awkwardly. "I need you to upgrade Shuichi's sword and cloak."

     "You two sure are acting hella weird.." Miu gave us a suspicious expression. She snatched the bag and looked inside, and her eyes lit up. "DAMN, where did you two get these?!"

     "We got them from a merchant in another village," I said. I took off my cloak and gave it to her along with my sword. Miu cracked her knuckles.

     "Well this sure will be fun!" she exclaimed. "Keebo, come here, you're gonna help me make these!"

     "What.." Keebo sighed and placed the book down. "You two can sit down here and wait.. it shouldn't take more than fifteen minutes."

     "Yeah sure, whatever trash can," said Kokichi. Keebo glared at him. Kokichi sat down on one of the chairs, and I sat down next to him. He glanced at me for a little bit and then looked in the opposite direction. It's all because I said that out loud..

     I sighed, and for the next ten minutes, we sat in silence as Miu and Keebo were working. Finally, they finished, and they handed us our equipment.

     I grabbed the sword. "Ugh.. this is even heavier than before.."

     "That's the point, shithead," Miu stuck her tongue at me. "The heavier the sword is, the stronger. Only morons like you don't know that shit."

    Keebo gave Kokichi his cloak, and it looked the same before it got destroyed, but it did have tiny little purple gems on it. He put it on, and it suited him well.

     "Hmm, how much?" asked Kokichi.

     "No cost," Miu smirked. "Buuut you have to let me keep the extra supplies!"

     Kokichi rolled his eyes. "Whatever, thanks. Come on Shuichi, let's go."

     Kokichi got up and walked out the door. Miu and Keebo exchanged confused looks, and then looked at me. I shrugged, then followed Kokichi.

     "Hey, we're heading to the alchemist next, right?" I asked him. Kokichi nodded.

     "You know what Shuichi, I can head to the alchemist myself," he said. "You can go off and relax or do whatever you wanna do."

     "..But I thought you wanted me to meet the alchemist?"

     "That can wait another day. Now go on, I'll be going now."

     "Oh.. alright, bye...?"

     Kokichi walked away and I sighed. I need to clear things up with him tonight.. but first, I need to clear my head. I guess now I have the rest of the day to myself.
