"Kokichi?"

I looked at the face of the body. That's definitely Kokichi.

"This is a lie, right?"

I took a closer look at the body. He's still breathing- He's alive.

I put the flower back in my inventory, and held his body.

There was a cut on his back, and a few scratches on his legs and arms. He seemed unconscious right now. Some of the blood from the cut got on my hand, but that didn't matter.

His cloak was all torn up, he shouldn't be able to use it now..

If I bring him to Mikan, she should be able to heal him. I ripped off a piece of my cloak, and tied it around Kokichi's chest to prevent more blood loss. It'll be like that until Mikan is able to bandage him up.

I carefully picked him up, and carried him bridal style in hopes he wouldn't wake up at that very second.

     What happened to him?

I knocked on the door.

"Mikan, Chiaki?"

Mikan opened the door. "O-Oh h-hello Shuichi.. What are y-you doing here, it's so la- GAH!!"

She looked at Kokichi's body.

"Wh-What happened..? I need to take care of his w-wounds immediately!"

"I'm not sure what happened," I told her. "And I'd be more than glad if you could.."

"Y-Yes! Right! U-um.. Please set him down on t-the bed over there.." she pointed towards a room.

     I went to the room Mikan pointed to, and placed him down on the bed. I grabbed a chair, and sat down next to him.

     "You idiot.." I whispered to him. "What were you doing?"

     I took the red flower out of my inventory. Isn't this.. the flower that gives him hope? What was he holding onto that for..

     Then, Mikan came running in with a bunch of bandages. "I-If y-you want, y-you could s-step outside for a bit.. T-there might be a l-lot of blood w-when I b-bandage him u-up.."

I shook my head. "It's fine, Mikan. I'm planning to stay by his side for a while." She looked at me with a worried expression and nodded slightly.

Mikan took off his cloak and then his shirt, and we were able to see the giant scar on his back.

"T-this is a r-really deep cut.. H-He's gonna need s-stitches..." she said. She went and looked through some cabinets and cleaned the cut with a wet, cold towel. She stitched the cut together and then wrapped around his torso with bandages. Eventually, she put some bandages on his legs too.

"Um.. K-Kokichi lost a lot o-of blood... and it w-will take him a w-while to heal... s-so he may have t-to stay here for a w-while.." she said, as she put the last bandage on his knee.

"That's fine.." I said. "Is it alright if I stay here?"

"S-stay as long a-as you w-want!" she nervously smiled and ran out of the room.

I looked back at Kokichi, who was knocked out cold. I gently poked his face and chuckled to myself.

"You're so weird.." I said to him. Eventually, I ended up falling asleep, me sitting by Kokichi's side.
