I gently rubbed my eyes and yawned. I took a glance at the window. Pitch black out there.. Wait a second..

"Kokichi?" I called out. No response.

I noticed a piece of paper on his bed. I got up and walked over, to find a note.

Heading out to Mount Rosia to fight some monsters! Be back before nightfall Pooichi! Next to my name, he drew a little doodle of himself with his tongue out. He's bad at drawing.

"Before nightfall.." I said to myself. "But he's not back yet.."

I walked out of the room and went up to Kirumi.

"Hello, good evening Shuichi," she said. "Is there something wrong?"

"Have you seen Kokichi?" I asked. She shook her head.

"I'm afraid he left five hours ago. I'm unsure of where he is now."

"Can I borrow a flashlight?"

"You're going out? It's dangerous. You can barely see out there."

"I'm gonna go look for him."

Kirumi looked at me with a concerned expression and rummaged through her drawers. Finally, she pulled out a mini flashlight.

"Goodbye, Shuichi. Stay safe out there," she told me. I nodded and headed outside.

Mount Rosia, huh? That place is pretty dangerous, what made him wanna go there?

I turned the flashlight on, and the brightness immediately made me squint my eyes. I followed the cobblestone path and made my way to the forest, which led to Mount Rosia. Walking around at nighttime is always terrifying, there could be anything hidden in the darkness.

     "Here I am.. Kokichi, where are you?" I said to myself. I moved the flashlight around, and saw a small tunnel. He could be in there. I walked in to check.

     First of all, this place was extremely spooky. Cobwebs everywhere, strange sounds coming from who knows where, and it sounded like somebody was breathing behind me. When I turned around, there was nobody.

     "..Kokichi?" I walked down a little further, before I discovered a terrifying sight. First of all, a red flower on the ground. Following that was a body, but not just any body..

     "Kokichi!"
