Elizabeth's pov:-
We start running on hearing the howls. Suddenly we hear the howling coming from above. Looking up we see wolves running across the river above the waterfall.
"Run", Peter yells. Mr. Beaver is at the very front and one of the wolves jumps down and grabs him by his paws. We skid to a halt. Wolves come out behind us too. Peter and I unsheathe our swords.
"Well well look who came back from the dead." Maugrim sneers at me. "Looks like your sister is also a traitor." He says laughing.
Susan's voice pulls me from my thoughts. "Eliza can't you do anything?" I shake my head no.
"Put that down boy", Maugrim warns Peter. "Someone could get hurt." He taunts as he comes closer and closer to us. "Leave now while you can.... and your brother leaves with you."
I freez at this words. I know Susan and Mr. Beaver are screaming something but I thoroughly searched Maugrim's face. Is he bluffing or not, I have to find out. He looks at me and realises I had been paying close attention to him. His eyes widened for a split second and it is enough for me to know he is lying.
"Neither my sister or their brother is with Jadis. So stop making promises you can't keep." I tell Maugrim. The Pevensies look at me surprised.
Maugrim looks at me. "You are going to pay for what your sister-" He looks over at Peter before continuing, "-and your brother did."
I look at Peter and see a wolf ready to pounce on Peter.
I am on the other side of Peter and won't be able to stop the wolf in time. "No", I scream and put my left hand out as if that would help.
Miranda's pov:-
We had crossed the river about an hour ago. About half an hour ago, the snow had started to melt. We are nearing a cliff. "If I'm not mistaken Aslan's camp is on the other side", I tell Ed.
"Do you think they are already here?"
"I don't think so. We are riding horses so even though we started after them we will reach the camp before them." While telling this I look over at him. He seems to be a little relieved.
"Don't you want to see them?" I ask.
"Believe me I do. But I don't know what to say to them. I guess I just want to talk with Aslan first."
I nod my head. We are standing on the cliff. We look down to see the camp below us. "Get us down there." Ed tells our horses.
Once we reach the foothill we get down from our horses. We walk on and enter the camp. Different creatures come out to look at us. "Our horses seem to enjoy the attention, don't they?" Ed says jokingly.
I notice some of them looking at me and whispering. Ed takes my hand and squeezes it. We reach the tent in the middle of the camp. It is on a rock. A centaur stands halfway up the rock.
"We are hear to see Aslan." I inform him.
He looks at the opening of the tent. At first a huge golden paw, then his golden mane and finally he himself comes out. Aslan is a lion. It is the first thought that comes to mind. When he was coming out everyone had kneeled around us. When he comes out, Ed and I look at each other before kneeling as well.
Everyone around us stands up. "Welcome Edmund, Son of Adam." He says looking at Ed. He stands up. "Welcome Princess Miranda, my daughter."
I look at him surprised. There is some murmuring but I don't care. I slowly stand up. "Let us talk in my tent." He says before walking inside. Ed and I follow.
