Elizabeth's pov:-
We are walking through a vast open field without any cover. I let the Beavers lead us. I am walking at the back of the group.
Somebody falls in step with me. I don't need to look up to tell it's Peter. "Go ahead ask", I tell him.
"I was kind of hoping for something a bit more welcoming", he says with a small laugh. I let out a small laugh as well.
Lucy walks over as well. She reachs up and grabs my hand. Peter takes my other hand. Together we walk in silence for a while.
"So you have been to Aslan's camp before?" Lucy asks breaking the silence. At this question Susan slows down her pace so that she is walking with us.
"That's where I have been for the last 50 years", I answer. Both Lucy and Susan stare at me in shock. Peter and I let out a small chuckle.
"You don't look like you are 50 years old. Can you control your age?" Susan asks. She must be smart, I think.
"Yes, that's the only bit of magic I can do", I answer.
"I am sorry for how I acted yesterday. I didn't mean to seem rude but we were chased by the wolves and I wasn't sure if we should trust you.", Susan apologises.
I sigh. "That's okay you are not the first to distrust me", I tell her.
"Why don't you girls go and try to see if you can bury Mr. Beaver with snow?" Peter suggests to the girls. Lucy smirks mischievously at us before grabbing Susan and running off.
I let out a small chuckle at this. "Thanks for getting rid of them. Even though I like spending time with them, I just wanted some time with you alone", I tell him.
"I do to. That's why I told them to do it."
I simply lean my head against his shoulder and continued walking. He lets go of my hand to wrap his hands around me. We enjoy the peaceful silence between us.
Miranda's pov:-
"Wake up", I say while shaking Edmund's shoulder. He lets out a groan before opening his eyes.
"What time is it?" He asks sleepily and closes his eyes again. I giggle a bit. "Time for you to wake up", I say. I kiss his forehead as an afterthought.
His eyes flutter open at this. I laugh at his state. He's blushing furiously while trying to understand why I did that. Getting my laughter in control I say, "If I knew that was going to wake you up faster, I would have done it earlier."
He blushes more at this, if it is even possible. Sitting up he looks around. I hold out some food for him. He takes it and eats. After he was done, we started to walk.
"How would you like to get some lessons in sword fighting?" I ask him after a while.
He thinks a bit before answering. "I would like that a lot."
"If you want something you can say it. I won't say no to everything", I tell him.
"Sorry", he says. "Just bad experience." I sigh.
"Alright come here. Draw your sword." He draws his sword and holds it out. His grip is entirely wrong. I walk up to him. I was going to touch him before remembering my manners.
"May I?" I ask gesturing to his hands. He nods his head. When I am done fixing his grip, I look at his face to see him staring at me. I blush. "Is there something on my face?" I ask trying to hide my blush.
He quickly shakes his head. "No", he says with a smirk. "Alright now that your grip is right lets see your footing." As expected it's wrong.
I move behind him. I keep my hands on his shoulders to balance myself. I move his foot to the right place. Thankfully he cannot stare at me.
"Everything is in right place. Now I am going to show you how to use the sword, okay?"
He nods his head.
We continue to work with the sword for an hour. After the hour is up, I can see that he is tired.
"Let's get on our horses", I say.
I help him get up on Philip. Surprisingly he did it with a lot more grace than last night. Staying in Narnia must be doing him some good, I thought.
"Have you got some water?" He asks. I hand my canteen over to him. "Thanks", he says after finishing.
"Why did you say 'Thanks'?", I ask him a little confused. He chuckles at my question.
"I don't really know. In my world saying thanks in some situations is considered being polite, Princess."
At the last word I look over at him. "I am not a princess."
"To me you are." I scoff at his reply. "Are you flirting with me?" I ask.
"If you don't want me to you can just say so. I will stop. I promise."
I shake my head at him. "If I tell you to stop, I know you will still not stop. So does it matter, Ed?" I ask smirking. I am quite enjoying his flirting though. He just shrugs his shoulders. He cocks an eyebrow at 'Ed'.
"You can give me nicknames and I can't?" He asks. I smirk at him.
"Shall we see how good your aim is?" I ask.
"With what?" he asks with one eyebrow raised.
"With this", I reply pulling out a knife from my waist.
"I was hoping for something different, Princess." I offer him the knife and I use my magic to create an archery board.
He smirks at me before taking aim and throwing the knife. It hits bullseye. "How?" I manage to get out. For someone who looks like he doesn't know how to hold any weapon can throw knifes so well. I have every right to be surprised at that although I have forgotten the last time I was this surprised.
"My father taught me how to throw knives."
Of course he did, I think.
"Do you think you're rested enough to try and fight me on horseback?" I ask raising an eyebrow.
He must have heard the challenging tone in my voice. "Yes", he says drawing his sword. But before I could draw my sword there is a rustling in the bushes and two wolves jump out.
I recognise them as Maugrim's brothers. They are the most vicious wolves besides Maugrim.
Looks like fun is over. The wolves have found them. Can they defend themselves or will they be caught and brought before the White Witch.
