Recovery

Miranda's pov:-

As Aslan says that it is over I feel relief wash through me. Susan and Lucy run over to us. The four of us hug each other. But our reunion is short lived as I remember about Ed.

"Ed!" I jump up before rushing over to where he is.

He is gasping for air. Susan quickly removes his helmet and lays his head on her knees.

"Oh my gosh", Peter mutters seeing the wound that the witch had inflicted.

"What do we do?" Susan practically cried out stroking Ed's hair.

"Can't you use magic?" Lucy asks me.

I give her a sad look. "I'm sorry. I lost too much blood. I can't use magic this big anytime soon." I tell the siblings.

Suddenly I remember something that Eliza had told me. She had told me about the gifts each of them received from Father Christmas. "Lucy, your cordial." I tell her.

She quickly takes out her cordial and pulls the cap open. She lets one drop fall into Ed's mouth. The wound soon closes up and we all look at Ed's face waiting for him to open his eyes.

He coughs softly before opening his eyes slowly. We all heave a sigh of relief. Peter picks Edmund from the ground and pulls him into a hug. "When are you going to learn to do as you're told?" He asks Ed smiling gently.

Ed gives Peter a small smile before his sisters pull him into a hug practically jumping on him. I remember Eliza. I feel a little guilty for not remembering about her earlier.

I get up. "Where are you going?" Peter asks. He is the first to notice since he is not in the hug.

"Don't tell me you forgot about Eliza" I tell him jokingly.

"How will you-" He starts to ask but I cut him off. "Come", I simply say before running away to where she should be. I find her and immediately blow a gentle warm breeze on her.

I move aside and gesture for Peter to take my place. I go to stand beside Ed. We watch on as she lets out a gasp before almost falling over but Peter catches her.

I let out a small laugh. Ed has already put an arm around my shoulders. We watch them before Ed distracts me.

"I don't want to waste another minute." He whispers. I look towards him and he kisses me immediately. It is a short one since a lot of people are around us.

Elizabeth's pov:-

I look over Jadis' shoulder and see Peter staring at me. My heart breaks at the pain in his eyes. The last thing I see before turning to stone is his eyes.

Suddenly I start to feel warm. I let out a small gasp before falling forwards. Before I hit the ground a strong pair of arms catch me. I look up to see Peter. I let out a small laugh knowing that we won the battle.

Peter pulls me into a kiss. I can feel the relief and longing behind the kiss. It is a long one but we pull apart to the sound of giggling.

We both look over to see Lucy and Susan giggling. Edmund and Mira are smiling widely. Mira walks over and pulls me into a hug. After we pull apart she walks back to stand beside Edmund.

"Were you both out of your minds?" Peter asks looking from me to Edmund.

"What did Edmund do?" I ask quite confused.

"I tried to save their lives-", he says indicating towards Mira and Peter. "-and this is how they thank me." We all laugh.

"To answer your question", Mira says looking at Peter. "Yes they were both out of their minds or else no one would dare challenge the witch alone."

"Ha ha very funny." Ed replies sassily.

Mira smiles at him before turning towards Lucy. "Give Peter one drop and then go and heal the other soldiers." Mira tells her.

"I don't need it." Peter says quickly. Mira justs raises an eyebrow and shrugs her shoulders. I gently elbow him in the ribs.

"Ow!" He screams out.

"You were saying.." I trail off knowing he gets my meaning. Peter opens his mouth but is quickly cut off.

"Will you just stop talking and open your mouth?" Lucy asks. "And if possible then get down, you're too tall for me." Lucy adds sassily.

Mira, Edmund, Susan and I laugh at this. I suddenly notice that Mira is practically leaning on Edmund. "Are you okay?" I ask frowning.

"Just tired. Used too much magic and lost blood all within an hour." She replies.

"Then why don't we get you to Killian?" Aslan says walking up to us. "He can carry you to the boats. Once inside Cair Paravel I am certain someone would like to walk you to your room."

Both Ed and Mira blush. Mira nods her head. Killian walks up to Mira and Edmund helps her on.

Miranda's pov:-

Ed helps me up on Killian. "This situation seems very familiar to me." He whispers to me. I chuckle under my breath knowing exactly what he meant.

"Atleast I can still be graceful unlike you." I whisper back at him with a smirk on my face.

"Why don't you both get on, your majesties?" Killian asks Ed.

Ed looks at me waiting to see my reply. "I don't have a problem." I tell him.

He smiles at me before getting up behind me. Once he gets up behind me Killian starts to walk in his own pace. I lean back into him. I place my head on his shoulder. He wraps his arms around me.

"You know I almost forgot", Ed says suddenly. I look at him confused. "Happy birthday Mira." I smile. I had forgotten too.

Elizabeth's pov:-

Once Mira and Edmund had ridden off, we start walking at a very slow pace. Peter and I walk behind Susan and Lucy.

"Why didn't you use your magic?" He asks me.

"I tried but I couldn't. Mira told me what triggers my magic. I tried to use that method but it failed."

"What is the trigger?" He asks after a moment.

A stay silent before answering. "You." I say softly.

He looks towards me surprised at my answer. "Why me?"

"Because I love you and I have loved you without knowing it. And everytime I used magic is to save you and yet I couldn't do it today. I don't know why." I answer sighing.

"Why don't we forget about all this for some time? We can enjoy ourselves as long as we can." He says raising one eyebrow.

I smile. "Alright sounds very nice."

We go to Cair Paravel and enjoy the night with my sister and Pevensie siblings.

The next part contains the coronation.
