May 2014 East Coast Leg of The Moonshine Jungle Tour, New York Concerts, on a break. Lacey is staying back in the apartment that she and Delancy share; Bruno and the band are staying at a hotel in Manhattan.

I wake to the sound of my phone vibrating on my wooden side table. I pick it up and open my eyes ever so slightly, just enough to see who the message is from without totally waking up. I smile immediately; Bruno. I rub my eyes with one hand and slide my pattern lock with the other.

Bruno: Morning Beautiful, hope you slept well ;) Check our side table for a folded sheet of blue paper.

I smile, he must have something planned. Soon I find my self grinning and anxious for my next instruction. Underneath a few other papers in the drawer I find a folded blue sheet.

Lace,

Remember that 'real' date I told you I would take you on? Well, today's the day. I have everything planned out. Go to into the bathroom and look in the drawer where you keep the toothpaste.

I climb out of bed, walk to the bathroom and start rummaging through the toothpaste drawer when I find Visa gift card.

You found it!

I can almost hear the exclamation in his voice. I can't help but laugh out loud.

That's for you, it has about five hundred dollars on it. Use it to get all dolled up for our date tonight. Meet me at the usual coffee house at nine for breakfast. Afterward, I'm going to head to the studio for a couple hours so you can do your shopping. At about twelve thirty, I'll pick you up for an outing and lunch. Hint* , hint* Pack a set of clothes and shoes you don't care about and then some clothes to change into for lunch. After that you have an appointment at the salon (Jamie told me she liked it there) to get your hair and nails done, I'll drop you off there. Use the card I gave you to pay. When you're ready I'll have someone pick you up and take you back to your place. I'll pick you up at eight for dinner and afterward we will attend an event the band and I were invited to. I can't wait to see you.

I love you,

~ Bruno

I nearly squeal like a high school girl with excitement holding the card tightly in my hand. I knew he would want to go overboard with this 'real' date he was talking about but I never realized what lengths he would go to. I open my camera and put all of my hair on one side before I give a small smile and and take a selfie. I send it to him.

Me: See you in a few ;)

I set my phone down, shower and begin examining my closet for what to wear. I throw on a classic baseball tee and a thin hoddie with some distressed jeans and my converse. When I'm finished, I don't bother with any makeup. I add some chapstick and I'm out the door.

As soon as I walked into the coffee house I see Bruno. He lounges in a chair at a table for two and he's dressed as lazily as I am. He's wearing a simple white tee, black jeans, brown Sperry's, a grey hoodie and his favorite maroon beanie. He flags me down with one arm as a smile breaks across his face. I walk to him. He stands, arms open wide.

"Good morning," he says flirtatiously. We embrace and then as we step apart he gives me a peck on the lips. He grins. Like I reflex I begin gnawing on the right corner of my lips.

"Good morning." I smile and take a seat.

"Ready to order?"

"Yeah," I reply. We take turns placing our orders and then we sit at our table. We spend most of the time eating and the rest of the time talking about everything from the success of Unorthodox Jukebox to my position at Marie Claire Magazine with a hint of flirting here and there. It still throws me that he can walk around a place like this without being approached by fans, I guess in a way people have grown used to seeing him.
