The twins carried the mirror down the stairs, past the heap of dead bodies, and into the parlour room. Dom has a surprisingly happy smile on his face while Dimitri has more of a concerned and worried look plastered onto his face. When the mirror is placed in the middle of the parlour room Millicent all of a sudden rolls off the sofa with a loud thump. Closest to her Dimitri kindly knelt down and helped Millicent up off of the floor. Kind of glad that I didn't need to do it my back groaned out at remembering Millicents dead weight lying heavily all over it.
I slowly got off the sofa and stood next to Dom right in front of the mirror.
The happy face now gone Dom has his hard work thinking face on as he surveyed the mirror up and down. Something does draw me in to it like I can feel the magic pulsing underneath my skin along the steady rhythm of my beating heart. All together something doesn't feel right with me as a small breeze brushes past and the hairs on the back of my neck are fully standing up straight. Out of the corner of my eye Millicent dusts herself off and comes to stand next to me with her arms crossed over her chest in a defensive manner.
"Now that we have the mirror what do we do with it?" Millicent asks out loud to everyone in general.
"Not allow the council, Malcom, and Maverick get their dirty paws on it for a start. But they are watching us at the moment so we cannot exactly go walking through two with it in the back of the car now can we? However, I would assume one of them or all of them knows that we are here in the mansion. Then if they come looking for us in here they will have the free ruien to take the mirror for themselves." I replied.
"Yes that would be the most probable answer but what if they don't come looking for us here?"
"What stopped Blair from finding us here? The council, Malcom and his men, and Maverick all have a lot of people good and bad working for their side and could find us here in seconds."
"Look why don't the two of you have a search through the house for the more clothes and other stuff to put into your bags. While the two of you are doing that my dear brother and I can discuss a small plan to get you guys and the mirror out of the mansion and into a good hiding place." Dimitri cut into our conversation.
Millicent and I agreed with him by nodding our heads and then grabbed our bags off the floor and together we headed up the stairs to the first floor to get ahold of some more clothes. First we ransacked the first room we took the clothes from. I found some jeans in my size and neatly folded them into a pile onto the bed. Secondly I dumped the contents of my bag onto the floor to repack the whole thing. Not that I really needed half of it I may be able to find some better stuff in the floors above. My godmothers journal I put back into the bottom of my back and also kept one of the baggy jumpers as well.
Depending on what could happen I need to be prepared for all types of weather. Millicent instead took it upon herself to rummage through the dresser for some different sort of clothes. Although, they were on the winter type scale of clothes I bundled up a couple of polo shirts into a thick jumper and piled it up into my bag at the bottom. On top of that I put several pairs of jeans off of the bed and then put a shoe box on top of them. In a pile of boxes I found a brand new pair of hiking boots. Even though they are a size too big I can add some layer of docks to get them to fit better. Millicent caught me putting the box into my bag and raised an eyebrow at it.
"What? A brand new pair of hiking boots I am not going to let them waist them away in this place of all places. They may come in handy one day in the future so why not."
"Okay I am not judging you but we need to get moving and look for some other things such as a first aid kit."
"Actually I think I saw a large first aid kit up in the attic in one of those boxes that we moved out of the way to get to the mirror. We should go up there next to go and it along with some other objects that may be useful."
