Third Person
"Mother, slow down." Rebbie rushed behind her mother as Katherine moved quickly to the front door.
"Why are we moving so fast?""Because, I'm worried your sister may have done something drastic and stupid."
"Like what?" asked Marlon.
"Let's just check on her please."
"Fine." said Jermaine. Katherine knocked on the door and Erlene opened it.
"Can I hel....Kathy!"
"Erlene! Girl." They hugged each other and pulled apart. "What are you doing working for my knuckle head daughter?" She let them in.
"I'm her house manager."
"What's that?"
"A position she made up so that I can still work. I was bored in retirement and I wouldn't let her just give me money."
"That's awesome." Erlene looked at Janet's siblings.
"Girl, look at these babies. I can't believe how big y'all are."
"I know, but they still acting like little kids."
"Hey." said Randy. Marlon hit him in the back of his head and Jermaine flicked Marlon's neck.
"See what I mean."
"So what you doing here, girl."
"I came to see my daughter. Is she okay?"
"Oh yeah. She called herself moving out but Idris put a stop to that." Erlene led them to the living room where they sat down.
"Really?" asked Katherine.
"Yep. Literally picked her up and brought her back in here."
"Wow. No one has ever gotten Janet to change her mind. Well, except for Mike." said Rebbie.
"That's true. Mike had a way with her. She would never admit it but Toya had a way with her too." said Marlon.
"What?" asked LaToya.
"Toy, you and Janet haven't always gotten along but you guys have an amazing bond."
"What makes you say that?"
"Think about it, who was the first person you went to for help to get away from Jack?"
"Janet, because she's the first one I saw and she was the closest."
"No she wasn't, your old me yourself that you didn't live far from me and Jermaine."
"That's true. You sought her out because you trust her the most." said Jackie.
"But I doubt she feels that way."
"Of course she does. She came and stayed with you every time she left Rene. When she finally escaped Wissam, who did she stay with?" said Katherine.
"But it doesn't make sense. We fight all the time."
"Well, that's typical. Usually the people who fight and argue the most, care the most about each other." said Erlene. "Do y'all often argue about decisions that each other made?"
"Yeah."
"That's because you care about what happens to her and she cares about what happens to you. It comes from a place of deep love."
"I don't know y'all."
"Fine, here's a small bet." said Rebbie. "I bet when she sees us, once she hugs mother, you'll be the first person after her that she hugs."
