Idris
I knocked on the door and waited for the door to open. Nervousness ran all through my body, but I was determined to go through with this. This was something that needed to be done. The door opened and I took a deep breath. "Idris? What are you doing here?"

"May I come in?"

"Sure." She opened the door wider and I stepped in. The door closed and I was led to the living room.
"Anything to drink?"

"No thank you. I just came to talk." She sat down.

"About?"

"The way you're treating your daughter. You and your husband."

"Excuse me?"

"Mrs. Jackson, I have had to deal with your daughter, my fiancé, crying every night of the behavior of you and your husband. There have been nights where she didn't sleep due to her sobs of pain. She asks me over and over again what she did wrong. She questions herself as a person and feels like a failure. That doesn't work for me. That doesn't work for me because she's such an amazing person and it's not fair that she comes from people as despicable as you."

"Now hold on..."

"No. You have hurt her, your youngest child. A person who at every stage of her life, you were constantly on her mind. She always included you and looked out for you because she just knew that her mother would be there. So for you to hear that this happened to her and you choose the side of a man who called her a slut and treated her like the dirt under his shoe is ridiculous."

"You don't understand...."

"I very much do and I really don't care what bullshit story Joseph fed you. Not one but two of your daughters told you that they were raped and that your husband knew about it and blamed them and that's who you chose over them. That's a shame. You should be ashamed and guilty."

"Honey, what's going on?" I looked and saw Joseph walk in. He looked at me. "Are you okay?"

"It's okay. Idris here is just expressing his discontent with our dealings with Janet and LaToya's accusations."

"Hmmm, really and what does he have to say?" He looked at me and folded his hands in front of him.

"He said..."

"I said that you two are terrible and should be ashamed for the way you handled the revealing your daughters did. And for you, Mr. Jackson, as a father should feel like the biggest failure in the world. Not only did two of your daughters get raped but they also ended up in not one but two abusive relationships and in all scenarios, they were unable to come to you. Shame. Then to turn their mother away from them, the only person they truly had, is disgusting." His face twisted.

"Who are you to speak to me this way?" I stood up and got in front of him.

"I'm a father, a real father. One that you will never be able to measure up to. I am the man that finally healed the daughter YOU broke. The damage you did over all that time is being undone. When I tell her I love her and that nothing but God is above her in my eyes, I see her see her heart back up. When I hug her, I can tell she feels safe. Did you know that Janet didn't like hugs before me? She didn't truly like closeness, she feared it. She feared letting someone into her heart, especially a man because the last man she let in her heart shattered it and grinded it under his shoe. That was you. You were her first representation of love and you gave her a terrible image."

"I did great things for her."

"For you, you mean. You did nothing for Janet. If you had, you would've let her choose her own path. Janet is smart. So very intelligent. That's why you have the money you do and why you won't receive anymore."

"What do you mean? I'm charge in charge if anything that The Jackson Five family gets. That means any money that Rebbie all the way down to Janet makes, I get."

"You're right, you would. If you owned the name 'The Jackson Five' but you don't. You lost that when you left Motown then you created 'Jackson Five.' However, the contract terms from the previous name didn't carry over and you know who figured that out? Janet. She stopped all of her siblings from supplying you with money."

"Ha! Yeah right. I have millions."

"No, you HAD millions. You barely have thousands now. All that extreme spending and giving money to your bastard child has drained you, man. And the funniest thing is Motown sold 'The Jackson Five' name and you know who they sold it to? Maureen Jackson Brown." Joseph's face twisted.

"What?"

"Yep. Rebbie was getting all of that money from residual checks and was putting some in your account, but all that stopped. It was hard, because you're her father and she loves you with all her heart. All of them would've done anything for you because they love you. However, the level of love has changed. You are no longer a father and to be honest when you were, whatever version of a father you say you were, you were a sorry excuse of one."

"You have a lot of nerve."

"Yes I do. I have every nerve. So this is what is going
to happened..."

"You're going to tell me...."

"Yes! I am. What is going to happen is Janet and I will marry in two days. You two will attend." They looked confused.

"We will?" asked Mrs. Jackson.

"Yes, you will. You will come and you will NOT sit with the family, due to the fact that you are no longer family."

"Excuse me?" Mrs. Jackson asked with shock. "We have not disowned our children."

"You haven't, but they have."

"What?!" Joseph yelled.

"You have been disowned by your children. You will be cut off from receiving any more money. That includes your son's estate, Mrs. Jackson."

"You can't touch that. It is written in the will that I will receive a sizable income."

"Ah ah ah. That is based on conditions." She stood up.

"What conditions?"

"You really should have read it. Then you would know who he left true control of his estate to."

"Me, of course."

"Not actually. You regain control as long as you are a constant supporter of his children and siblings. You have not done so. Janet and LaToya have confided in you about their experiences and you have disregarded them. It had been brought up to the will executors who were aware of these things."

"What?"

"Janet and LaToya confided in Michael long ago, therefore he put it in his will that when they day came that they share that with you, depending on your reaction and support will determine if you were to continue to receive your financial support. Seeing as how you haven't done that a judge has given order for the transfer of your allowance to stop."

"You can't do that." She came to me.

"You're right. I can't, but the true overseer of the estate can and I am so happy to be marrying her." Their faces were in shock.

"It can't be. He said he left his siblings no money."

"Why would he when they're all rich already. He did however give one sibling primary control. So like I said, you will attend our wedding, you will sit with the guests, you will apologize to all your children and then never speak to them again until they are ready."

"Idris..." Mrs. Jackson started.

"You will attend the wedding, sit with the guests, apologize to your children, and not speak to them until they have decided otherwise. Understand?" I looked between them. "Understand!" They nodded. "Good. I will see you two at the wedding." They nodded.

"Yes."

"Enjoy the rest of your day." I left out and went to my car. I watched Joseph and Mrs. Jackson as they watched me crank up my car and pulled off.
