I can't believe that I got lost. I found baggage claim, that was easy, but now I've been walking around for like 15 minutes trying to find the pick up place. I'm such an idiot, and I hate to ask someone for help. "Hello there." I jumped as someone walked up to me. I turned finding Nathan standing next to me.

"Wow, stalker much?" I asked him.

"No, but you seem lost." He laughed.

I sighed, "I sadly am. I'm meant to be meeting someone, but I have no idea where I should be."

"I'll walk you to where you need to be. But if you're going to be signed to a record label, you might want to learn this airport like the back of your hand. You'll be in and out of here constantly." He explains as we walk.

"How-"

He interrupted me with a new explanation, "I've seen it a thousand times. New artists, actors, you name it, they get lost here. I do a lot of traveling myself. I've spent many hours here."

I nodded seeing how that would make sense. My family used to travel a lot, going on vacation every summer and on many school breaks. Only in the last couple of years have we stopped doing that because my parents think that me and my brother have gotten too old for those vacations. I think that it's mostly because my dad is in-between jobs so much lately, and my mom is having a hard time finding a job herself. It's not that they are bad employees, it's just, no one wants to hire them. I feel bad for my parents, hopefully with getting signed to this label will help out a lot.

"Here we are. Have a nice time in London, Layla Sage." Nathan waved at me before walking out of the airport doors. Wow, this was easier to find then what I was making it out to be. That's depressing. I looked around seeing if there was maybe a sign with my name on it like in the movies, and surprisingly there was.

I walked over to the man in a navy blue suit with a smile on my face. "Ms. Sage, I'll be taking you to see Mr. Leens and be dropping your bags at your flat."

"Thank you..." I had no idea what his name was.

"Albert." He smiled taking my suit case.

"Albert. Thank you Albert." Albert put my bags in the boot of the car and opened the back door for me. Strangely enough, I like this man, he's very nice. I wonder if everyone gets a personal driver... I kind of hope so.

"Did you have a good flight Ms. Sage?" Albert asked me after some time of driving.

"It was alright. I never knew how nice first class was until then." I told him watching out the window. London is so beautiful. It's just like in the movies when they show outside of the car windows when people are driving, like in the move Parent Trap when Lindsey Lohan goes to London and see's everything, but a thousand times more amazing in person. I could see Big Ben, the London Eye, and I know that Buckingham Palace is somewhere around there too. I can't wait till I get to explore the city. I mean I'm going to have to get used to it here, this is my new home after all. I'll have to find all of the best coffee and book stores, along with music.

"We're here Ms. Sage," Albert says as we come to a stop.

"Thank you Albert." I smiled stepping out of the car.

"I'll be taking your things to your flat and will come back and wait for you. Also, when you walk in just tell Missy, the woman at the front desk your name and she'll take you right to Mr. Leens." Albert told me.

"Thank you once again Albert." I close the door to the car and he pulls off of the curb and I turn looking up at the large building. Okay, deep breaths Layla, deep breaths. I walk up to the huge front doors pushing them open. I look around the lobby, it looked really new, like everything was glossy and perfect. The front desk was a a dark marble that sat about four feet tall and was around ten feet long. A women with extremely curly red hair sat behind the desk looking at a computer.

"Um... I'm here to see Mr. Leens." I say walking up to the desk.

She looked at her computer not even seeming to care what I just said. "Name." She deadpanned.

"Layla Sage." I tell her trying to show some confidence. This lady seemed kind of scary, she was a small as a twig, but seemed to have the attitude and bite of a wolverine.

"Take the elevator to the fifth floor it's the last doors on your left." Wow, she's no real help.

"Thanks..." I quickly walked away trying to shake off that encounter. I found the elevator easily pressing the up button, when the doors opened I came face to face with a girl around my age with dark brown, pixie cut hair, with a large grin.

"Hi! I'm Missy!" She exclaimed.

"Wait, what? I thought that the other lady was Missy. I'm so confused. Albert said that the lady at the front desk would be Missy." I held my hand to my head, as it pounded at the amount of confusion that ran through it.

"Oh no, that's Debby, she's a right bitch." I almost feeling like that might be an understatement. "She helps me out sitting at the front desk when I take clients to see some of our Managers and Team members. But just about always I'm sitting there with her." Okay, that's was helpful. "Oh you must be the new girl that Mr. Leens was talking about! He said that Albert was your new driver. I'll you up to his office right now, everyone is waiting for you." I think she's a little hyper. But it's okay, because I like her more then Debby.

"Okay. Thank you. I'm Layla by the way." I said holding out my hand to her.

Missy took my hand, surely going to introduce herself to me again, but formal introductions are nice. "Missy as you already know." She showed me her smile again, making me smile. It was like a laugh, contagious. "I know this is weird, but I hope that we can be friends, Debby is a total downer. Plus you're like the only person here who is my age other then some of the other talent here, but most of them just ignore me." She sighed at the end. What she did say made me think of a song that I've heard. Let's make this girl laugh.

I don't want no debby downer, I just wanna keep my buzz

I don't wanna know no drama, we don't gotta trip because

Ayeee ee ayee ee everything's gonna be alright, alright

"Wow, you are a really good singer!" Missy exclaims when I finish. "And thanks, I'm sure that you were pretty much reading my mind."

"You're welcome." I say as we step off of the elevator. "No one wants to be a Debby downer, or work with one. But I would love to be your friend Missy."

"Yay!!" She exclaimed hugging me. I hugged her back smiling. That's one friend, let's keep them coming, but not all at once. "This is Mr. Leens office. You can just walk right in." Missy said as we stopped at a set of double black doors.

"Thank you Missy." I smile at her.

"You're welcome! Stop by my desk on your way out and we'll exchange numbers so we can hang out some time. I better get back to work before Miss Debby Downer gets even more grumpy then she normally is." Missy said with a wave before rushing down the hall. She might be a little hyper, but I know that we'll be good friends. Now, for me to walk into this room and get signed to a record label. Here goes nothing.
