I walked into the building completely ignoring Missy which I felt bad about, I just didn't want to talk to anyone until I saw Mr. Leens. I knew there was going to be trouble one way or another so it's best to just go straight there. I stopped at my studio dropping off my bag so I didn't have it with me, I was going to work on music today, whether someone told me to go home or not I would work today.

Walking past Nathan's studio on the way back to the elevator I could see him sitting on the piano bench head resting on the keys. I thought about saying something or knocking on the glass, I knew he would either ignore me or be mad. Maybe another time after I know what's going on. Taking the lift up to the next floor I walk straight into Mr. Leens office ignoring his secretary and throwing the doors open.

"Ah, Layla just in time." He smiles motioning for me to sit.

"I'll stand." I snap walking up to his desk. I see Zedd sitting in the chair next to the one he wanted me to sit in. "Well, I fully know what's going on now if you're also here." They were going to set us up. Make us date to one, take any other eyes off of Nathan and me, and two promote whatever music we put out together.

"Yeah..." He sighed scratching the back of his neck.

"Well, if you've already assessed the situation that quickly then I'll get right to it. Both of your fans have already had it set that you two have been dating since the first time Zedd stepped foot into your studio and somehow word got out about it. After the live stream, they think that it confirmed your relationship. So let's give the people what they want." I heard every word that Mr. Leens said, I also head blah blah blah as well. It never stops does it?

"Okay." I shrugged.

"Okay?" Mr. Leens questions.

"Okay, I know that there is no getting out of this so."

"Well, I'm glad that we have your approval, Layla. I guess you can go then, I'm sure you've seen how your video is doing this morning. Trending number one on all streaming platforms, sales have escalated, and you're still sitting number one on the Captial Top 100."

"You know that's amazing Layla, three weeks in a row. For your first single, it's impressive I can't wait till they hear our song together." Zedd winks at me.

"Thanks, babe." I wink back. This was going to be fun, I don't want to hurt him. I want to be friends with him no matter what, we'll just overkill this a lot and I hope Zedd is thinking that as well.

"Oh and Layla, the movie that I was telling you about, well they would love to hear the song you've been working on for it. That is if you have it ready, you do still have some time, they just want to know what you're thinking.

"Right, I was going to talk to Lacey about the movie so maybe I knew a little about it to bring some inspiration from it." I completely forgot about that! I'll text Lacey and see if she wants to meet for coffee or something soon so I can work on that.

"You let me know when you're ready to deliver that. Don't forget I also want some ideas for your album soon. You can go now." Mr. Leens says as his phone begins to ring. Sighing I head to the door. I need to vent.

"Hey, Layla wait up!" Zedd runs after me grabbing my arm as we reach the lift. "I'm sorry." He sighs.

"It's fine don't worry about it. Was going to happen one way or another." I shrugged pressing the button to make me to the studio.

"Personally I think you and Nathan would be a good couple. Granted Lacey and Nathan are great but you can tell they aren't really together and she has the hots for her co-star." He smirks.

"How did you?"

"I'm not blind. Lacey is also one of my best friends as well, She stared in one of my music videos and since then we've been friends." He laughed following me out of the lift. Walking past Nathan's studio he was looking out of the window at us, I hung my head looking away from him. I couldn't look at him right now. I know this hurts him, it hurts me too.

"So do we have an agreement that there are no feelings in this and it's really just being friends and putting on an act to cover our asses?" I asked hoping that was what he was going to tell me he wanted.

"Hundred percent. You're great Layla, an amazing artist, and person. But not my type sadly." That hurt a little, but not as much as it would have if he said he had feelings for me and I didn't feel the same.

"Awesome. Let's get to work, shall we? We've got a hit to make." I grinned grabbing my laptop set up in the recording booth. I grabbed my phone sending a quick text to Lacey.

To Lacey:

Hey, want to meet for coffee soon? Need to talk with you ASAP.

Hopefully getting some work done will clear my mind. It's been a stressful enough morning.
