"Alright, Layla let's run it one more time." Leo said looking down at the sound board.

"The whole thing or just that last part?" I asked him.

"The whole song." Adam said as Leo looked a little busy. I nodded letting them get ready to run the song once again.

It's been about two weeks since the video went up and Mr. Leens told me and Nathan to stay away from each other. Well that hasn't worked that well. Nathan is stuck with his fake girlfriend Brook, but she's really nice shockingly. She hates the fake relationship as much as he does, but seeing as they would both be practically murdered if they didn't go with it, they better act. Brook actually thinks that me and Nathan would be a really cute couple, and hopes that once this bullshit is over that we'll get together. She's just amazing all around. If Nathan ends up actually liking her, I wouldn't be that shocked.

"Ready?" Leo asked and I nodded as he started playing the track. Through all of this, I managed to write a new song, a song that I'm hoping will be my first single. I've wrote a couple more that we're going to record next, they all kind of work together to tell one story. Mine and Nathan's.

Nobody sees, nobody knows,
We are a secret can't be exposed.
That's how it is, that's how it goes,
Far from the others, close to each other.

In the daylight, in the daylight,
When the sun is shining,
On the late night, on the late night,
When the moon is blinding.
In the plain sight, plain sight,
Like stars in hiding,
You and I burn on, on.

When I got home after leaving the studio that day, I didn't look at my phone right away. I made myself a cup of tea before sitting down on the couch with my notebook and started writing. I didn't get very far and trashed the song. Giving up for a little while I grabbed my phone from the coffee table, finding Nathan had texted me.

I'll see you tonight at 9. Leave your door unlocked.

I couldn't believe that was it. That was all that Nathan texted me. I figured that he was going to tell me everything in one text, not that he was going to come over and talk to me about it.

Put two and together, forever will never change
Two and together will never change
Nobody sees, nobody knows
We are a secret, can't be exposed
That's how it is, that's how it goes
Far from the others, close to each other
That's when we uncover, cover, cover
That's when we uncover, cover, cover

My asylum, my asylum is in your arms
When the world gives heavy burdens
I can bear a thousand times
On your shoulder, on your shoulder
I can reach an endless sky
Feels like paradise

When Nathan showed up later on, he pulled me into a hug like he did the other day, holding me in his arms for a good five minutes. He pulled away slightly only to put our lips together. "Nathan." I pulled away from him, hugging myself.

"I'm sorry if I seemed rude when I pushed past you before. I just didn't want to talk about this when we were there. It's already bad enough, I figured in privet would be the better option." He told me.

"Well, talk." I said turning back to him.

"We will have to wait. Hopefully not for long. I'll find a way out of this, I promise. Everything will just have to be a secret for now. We'll stay out of the eye of the public. Probably only seeing each other at times like this. We can't risk our careers right now Layla. So we just have to play their game." Nathan explained resting his hand on my shoulder.

"I'm tired of being pushed around Nathan. I thought that when I left my home town to come here, I would be done getting pushed around. Now I can see that it's never going to stop, is it?" I said feeling the tears run down my cheeks.
