Vol. 8 Part 4: Guilt

No One's POV:

There was a loud ringing in your ears. You slowly opened your eyes and saw a white ceiling. You continued to look around and saw that you were in a white bedroom. You leaned forward and tried to get up but your entire body was in agony. You fell back down onto the bed groaning in pain. Pushing through, you force yourself up and out of bed. You look down to see you were only in underwear. You then looked back up to see a closet, which you limped towards and opened. There was a white bathrobe that you took and put on before making your way out.

Meanwhile downstairs, the rest of the team was trying to put together a plan in the meeting room of the Schnee manor. Weiss is pacing around the room, Emerald is leaning against a wall and Oscar is looking through the window. Everyone else is sitting at the table.

Yang: (sighs) Ok, Ironwood wants Penny, otherwise Mantle is done for. So, how do we stop him?

Blake: Qrow and Robyn are still in his custody, and the Atlas security drones are watching the crater, so they're trapped too.

Oscar: And Salem isn't going to stay gone for much longer.

Ruby: So then, it's impossible.

Emerald: See? If Miss Hero with all the answers doesn't have an answer, then we have ours.

Weiss: Shut up.

Yang: (Approaching Emerald) Ok, then why don't you just leave?!

Emerald backed away in fear as a result of Yang's outburst.

Oscar: Can we please just give each other a chance? Emerald's not with Salem anymore, and Ozpin is back.

Ruby grumbles into the table while everyone else goes quiet.

Oscar: All of this doubt and worry and distrust, it isn't getting us anywhere.

Ruby then slams her hands on the table.

Ruby: Then nothing has changed! We're in the exact same spot we were yesterday. Arguing what to do while the Kingdom waits to...

Ruby's voice trails off as something catches her attention. She grows a worried expression as the others take notice of her mood change. Everyone looks in the direction of her gaze to see you in a bath robe breathing heavily and leaning against the door frame trying to stay on your feet. Everyone immediately takes out their weapons ready to fight. You however are in no condition for a fight and soon fall to your knee. Yang seeing this and rushes to your side.

Yang: (Y/N)... are you ok?

(Y/N): Yeah... yeah Yang, I'm ok.

Yang moved your chin so that your facing her instead of the floor. She looks into your eyes to see their true (E/C) color. Tears start streaming down her cheeks as she envelopes you in a deep kiss before giving you a big hug. Groaning in pain, Yang let's go and gets your arm around her shoulders and helps you stand. The others are still ready with their weapons, but their guard has slightly dropped.

Ruby: (Y/N), do you know where you are?

(Y/N): I assume the Schnee Manor with all this white.

Jaune: What's the last thing you remember?

(Y/N): ...We... I was fighting Salem....

Weiss: And before that?

You were about to answer when the memories of all your dark deeds came back to you. You tried to back away from the others but fell to the floor in sheer pain. Yang tried to help you but you held your hand up against her, a look of horror on your face as you tried to crawl away. You couldn't contain yourself and with tears in your eyes, let it out in the form of a roar.
