No One's POV:

You guys were continuing to walk through the wilderness.

Nora: Another day, another adventure!

Next to her, Jaune was reading a map while Ruby and Ren continue alongside them. You were behind them, instinctually watching over them all.

Ruby: What's on the agenda today?

Jaune: Walking!

Nora: With a side of...?

Ren: Walking.

Ruby: (sighs) Haven is a lot farther away than I thought.

(Y/N): It's literally on the near opposite side of the continent. What did you expect?

Ruby: I don't know! I grew up in a small area! I've never been this far away from home!

Jaune: Right but... how long?

Ruby: Maybe like, uh... two weeks?

Jaune: (looking up from the map to glare at her) What?!

Ruby: Okay, fine! Three or something! (not making eye contact) Look, whatever. (Looks up) Hey, what's that?

Nora jumps onto a slightly fallen post of a fence to get a closer look at a wall and building ahead.

Jaune: That's... strange. (checking his map) I didn't think we'd be hitting another village for a few days.

(Y/N): Do you even know how to read a map?

Jaune: ....... Yes.

(Y/N): You hesitated.

Nora: Are those buildings... damaged?

Jaune: We should search for survivors!

Jaune drops the map and all five of you go run towards the village. Once there, you all take in the area. It's completely empty and trashed.

Ruby: Anything?

Nora: Nothing over here!

Jaune: No one over here, either!

Ren: It almost seems like... the town was abandoned.

(Y/N): And for good reason.

Everyone looks to you.

Ruby: What do you mean?

(Y/N): I can feel what's left of the emotion that was here. Fear, agony, pain.

They look at you in wonder, until Nora speaks up.

Nora: Hey, I think I found something!

You all move over too her to see a sign.

Nora: Oniyuri? Never heard of it.

Jaune: Me neither.

Ren: I have.

You all turn to face Ren.

Ren: You might think of it as Anima's Mountain Glenn, had it never been completed. Years ago, the richest members of Mistral were unhappy with how the Kingdom was being run. Frustrated with the council, they pooled their resources together to build their own city, with their own laws. They hoped that one day, it could maybe even become its own Kingdom. Many thought it would be the future. I know my parents did.

Ruby: What happened?

Ren: What always happens.

Jaune: The Grimm.

Ren: Not just any, one.

You all shared surprised faces. You on the other hand knew what he was talking about.
