"Ah, I know. I'll kill them after I pass the exam!" 

What the fuck is wrong with the Zoldyck family?

Illumi approached Killua, with his hand out. What is he doing?

Killua stepped back.

"Don't move!"
"If you move, it will signify the fight has begun. If our bodies make contact, it will also mean the fight has begun."

"There's only one way to stop me."

This bastard... he's manipulating Killua, he- "I.. I surrender." Killua spoke. "Huh?" you murmured. "That's a relief! Also, I was lying about killing Gon. It was a test. And now I have my answer." Illumi said, leaning over to Killua, "You don't deserve friends. You are a puppet of darkness, a cold-blooded killer. The only thing that brings you joy is killin-" "Shut up!" you yelled without thinking. "Hm?" he pondered, "Your telling me to 'shut up'?" You, overflowing with anger and letting your bloodlust slip more than once, spat, "Yes. Killua doesn't need to earn the right to have a friend! Let him be himself!" 

He tilted his head, "That isn't how it works in the Zoldyck family. You of all people understand it doesn't work the same in a group of people who kill as it does in the normal world, yes?" Wait, what? How could he possibly know that, unless... no, the only ones that know are the troupe themselves, Hisoka, and your friends. Did Hisoka tell him? No, he had no reason to, the Zoldycks probably just find information somehow. Yeah, that's gotta be it.

Killua seemed to be a shell of himself. "Are you alright, Killua?" you asked. He didn't answer. Up next, Leorio fought... whatever his name was. The two prepared to begin. Killua approached the old man, you still didn't remember his name. And when the match begun, Killua killed him.

Oh! His name is Bodoro! Holy shit, he's dead-

Killua was disqualified for killing an examinee and left. Orientation began and you, Leorio, and Kurapika sat together and placed complaints. Illumi sat nearby, it taking all your willpower not to attack him. A slamming noise filled the silence as a door opened. Gon was very angry and immediately approached Illumi. "How dare you!" he said, grabbing Illumi's arm and making him stand. "Hm?" Illumi tilted his head. "Killua doesn't need to earn the right to be our friend! You don't deserve to be his brother!" 

"Do I need to earn the right to be his brother?" Gon flung the blank man over his head, him landing gracefully. Illumi reached out towards Gon and he jumped back. "Forget it. Just tell me where Killua is." The ebony haired male stared, deadpanning, "Back home on Kukuroo Mountain." he shrugged. 

And so, after the orientation, you and your friends set off to find Kukuroo Mountain.

"What do we do, Netero?"

"Well, we can't just leave them with the spider. We have to do something, right chairman?"

"Yeah, we will. Let's let it play out on it's own for a while though. We'll get them eventually."

You stared down at your hunter license while in the taxi to the airport. The traffic had gotten really thick, and the group worried you would miss your plane. "Let's run there!" Gon suggested. All of you got out of the car and ran. "You know how far the airport is, right?" Leorio whined. "It's nothing compared to the exam!" you laughed. "Last one there's a rotten spider eagle egg!" 

The four of you boarded the airplane, and Gon seemed preoccupied. As Kurapika confronted him, you stared out the window. 

Why did the troupe hide the massacre from you? Was there anything else they were hiding? You didn't even know where they were at the moment, or whether you wanted to go back anyway...

The four of you had arrived on a tour bus at Kukuroo Mountain. "Hey miss, how do you get inside?" Gon asked. "Little boy?! Weren't you listening?! Assassins live up there!"

Blah, blah, blah. You started listening again when Zebro explained how much the gates weigh. The three of them tried and failed, Zebro showing them how to open the door. "Can I try?" you asked. "Of course." Zebro said. 

You used Ko on your hands and back, focusing your aura and strength on those places. 

"Holy shit!" Leorio yelled. You opened your eyes and saw you had opened 6 of the seven gates. "Damn, I wanted to open all seven." you whined. "You can go on ahead Y/N!" Gon smiled. "Yeah, alright! See you guys!"

"You may not cross this line."

"Why?"

"It's trespassing."

"Oh. Well, I've done worse."

You ran past Canary faster than she could see and got in undetected. Walking down the halls with your hands behind your neck, you came across a room with the door open. 

"Mil!" a female voice screamed. Creepy.

"Sorry momma." "Mil" said.

"Kil, are you sorry?"

Killua?

"Boo." you said. All the people in the room looked at you. "Y/N?!" Killua gasped. "The one and only!" you finger-gunned and clicked your tongue. "How did you get in?" he asked. "The door. If they didn't want me to get in, they should have locked the doors." you shrugged. "Who's this, Kil?!" shrieked the woman. "Y/N." you greeted. "I'm Kikyo Zoldyck, Kil's mom! You can call me Kikyo, dear." she answered. Creepy. "Hello..." you said awkwardly. Really was expecting to be attacked right now... Killua's mom left. "So, Mil?" you laughed at the boy. "Milluki." he growled. "I'm gonna just call you Piggy." Killua laughed and Milluki whipped him. He received a phone call. "Oh? Okay, I'll let him know. Kil, your friends have made it in. I could say one thing and have them ki-" "Milluki. If you touch them, I'll kill you." Killua said, breaking one of his chains. You had to admit it was kinda attractive. 

"Grandpa!" the elderly man opened the door. "Kil, you can go." he said. Killua broke the chains. "Oh, and Silva wants to see you. As for you, Y/N-" "How the fuck you know my name?" you asked. "There was a mission related to you. Of course I do." A mission? Could that be...

"...You of all people would understand it doesn't work the same in a group of people who kill as it does in the normal world, yes?"

"You mean..."

"Yep, if you'd let me finish..." he said, waiting for Killua to leave. He took the hint and left, "...Chrollo hired Illumi to watch you, and kill whoever... oh, I've said to much!" he teased.

Chrollo hired Illumi?

"Anyway, you'd best get back to your frie- damn, you're gone already."

Killua, Gon, Kurapika, and Leorio were already leaving when you got to the butlers quarters. "Okay, let's go!"

The five of you left, and discussed when you'd meet again. "So, in sixth months?" Leorio confirmed.

All five of you agreed:

"September 1st! Yorknew City!"
