ᴊᴜʟʏ 11ᴛʜ ~ Chapter 2.2

The sun peeked through the window as you prepared for your fight. You were practicing Ren and Hatsu. Your fight would begin in 2 and a half hours, the clock ticking close to the uncertain moment. "Y/N!" Gon said, running over to you. "Hey Gon!" you waved, "What's up?" He gave a worried look, "Why are you fighting Hisoka? You're really strong Y/N, but you could get badly hurt." You laughed, "Gon, I'm about on the same level as him, if not stronger! I'll be fine!" His worry quickly turned to anticipation, "Well me and Killua will be watching!" 

Killua nodded. "Yeah."

"Alright, see you guys then?" you asked. "Actually, can you help us get better at nen?" Gon asked. "Yeah, sure." you nodded. "Do you guys use Ken ever?" you asked. Killua shook his head. "Ken is when you prolong your Ren, as if it were Ten. Try it for, 10 minutes!" You said, starting up your Ken. The two of them did the same, but after about 3 minutes, Killua gave up. Gon gave up shortly after, and you just awkwardly stood there. "I never knew it was so hard to maintain Ren!" Gon whined. You laughed.

Over two hours had passed since the three of you started training, and the fight was scheduled in 8 minutes. "Y/N~?" Hisoka taunted. "Are you excited~?" 

"No."

"..."

"..."

"Well, I am, and that's all that matters." Hisoka said, breaking the silence.

7 minutes.

"Why are you here?"

"To make sure you don't run off, of course."

6 minutes.

"Why would I run?"

"Fear."

"I'm not afraid of you, big brother."

"I think you are, little sister/sibling/brother."

"As if."

"Oh~?"

"Then you want to take this seriously?"

"Yes."

"Of course you do~ I know you do, Y/N."

4 and a half minutes.

"Let's get going then, hm?"

"..."

The two of you walk to the fighthing location. Hisoka needed one more win to challenge a floor master. You wanted to make him start over.

2 minutes.

"Farewell, for now, dearest brother/sibling/sister."

Times up.

"Everyone! Attention please! Todays fight is one for the books: Hisoka! Versus! Y/N! Two siblings in battle! Who will win?! WHO?! I'm placing my bet on Hisoka personally, with a 9:3 record, all his losses being skips! But his br/sg/sr has a 3:0 record, AND they're on this floor for the first time! Jeez, it's so tense!" 

Hisoka licked his lips, the fight had begun. The two of you stood still for a moment, before you disappeared and ran behind him, getting an immediate hit in the stomach as he turned around, knocking him back and over onto the floor.

"Clean hit and knockdown! Two points!"

He smiled and threw a card at you. You dodged it. Wait, is that- Bungee Gum! He had attached Bungee Gum to the card and flung it sideways at you. The card cut into your arm, making you wince in pain.

"Clean hit! One point!"

You ducked behind him and, using Ko you kicking him square in the neck, making him cough up blood.

"Critical hit! Two points!" 

You summoned your katana and a few white petals, not wasting anymore time. "Oh? Looks like this fights getting serious~!" Hisoka moaned, throwing a few more Bungee gum attached cards. You dodged them effortlessly, now figuring out his trick. You sliced through the air around you with the sword, and the petals flew in that direction. "Hm?" Hisoka laughed, beginning to use Gyo. He dodged the petals, but you were prepared for that and slit his hip with the sword.

"Critical hit! Two points!"

It was four to one in this match, but Hisoka seemed unphased. You knew he was sure he'd win as you healed your arm where the card had sliced. The blue petal wrapped around the wound and you felt a cool mist as it closed up and healed. "Your always full of surprises, huh?"

"Wow! Y/N healed themself mid-fight! This match will be a close one!"

As if.

Hisoka suddenly threw many cards at you, you swiftly dodging them all and his attempt at grabbing you with Bungee Gum. "Huh?" you gasped. He had thrown the cards and used Bungee Gum as a diversion, of course! You jumped up moments before a kick went under you. You used this chance to kick his neck and held the sword to his throat as he lied there on the ground. 

"Heh..." he laughed.

"Clean hit and knockdown, two points!" 

6-1. You only needed two more critical hits to win. You retrieved the pearl hued petal and cut into Hisoka's wrist, releasing a maroon petal into his bloodstream. You jumped back as he stood. "Is this what you used on him during the exam?" Hisoka laughed, but disappeared and reappeared, punching you in the face extremely hard.

"Clean hit and knockdown, two points!"

"What's this? Hisoka has begun to choke and fall to his knees! What's going on?!"

You smiled and stepped behind Hisoka, holding your sword against his throat.

"Critical hit and knockdown! 3 points!" 

Ah, is this one of those "technical referees" that award points like crazy if they think someone's in danger? Boring. Now all you needed was a clean hit. You put your conjured katana and rose petals away, and stepped in front of him. "S- CH! So this is your.. UNGH! torture ability, hu-h?" he choked out. You said nothing and punched him in the face.

Hisoka flew back about 30 feet and you recalled the petals within his throat. 

"Clean hit! One point!"

"Well everyone, you saw it here! The unbeaten Hisoka finally lost, and must start back on the fi-"

"Well, I surrender."

"What?"

"Hisoka wins. Bye." you shrugged.

"I'm leaving soon anyway."

"WHAT THE FU-"

You sighed as you left and Gon ran up and hugged you. "Gon! Killua!" you greeted. "That was awesome!" Killua shouted. "But why'd you surrender?" Gon asked. "Oh, well actually, I'm leaving tomorrow, but I'll see you all in Yorknew City in September, yeah? Killua, if Gon gets a phone, give him my number! Good luck!"

"Bye..." Killua said. "Bye Y/N!" Gon said, but more cheerful than Killua.
