The next day I woke up in Aleksander's room

The next day I woke up in Aleksander's room. I felt my legs tangled with his as he hugged me loosely from behind. I smiled in happiness and tried to carefully turn around. I managed to do it without waking him and once I did, I wrapped my arms around his torso and hugged him tightly, just wanting to be in his embrace. I let out a sigh as I felt myself relax. Suddenly his arms tightened for a second, making me look up at him and see that his eyes were fluttered open. He looked down and grinned when he saw me. "Good morning, my love." "Good morning, handsome." I said back with a smile. He kissed my forehead and rested his head onto mine. "Is today that morning we spoke about?" I asked with a hopeful tone. "I'm afraid not, my little witch. With Alina on the run, probably knowing about me and you, we have to find her quickly." I sighed and nodded. "Yeah, you're right." He pulled slightly away and looked down at me. "I love you, Lucille. I want nothing more than to spend every second with you. But until this is over, I'm afraid we cannot." I chuckled with a small smile. "It's all right, Aleksander. I knew what I signed up for when I first kissed you. I'm all in, no matter what." He grinned for a second before kissing me on the lips.

After we had woken up and gotten ready for the day, we ate some breakfast and continued to look for Alina, using whatever resources we have. It was later in the day when Fedyor entered through the door. "General, I found a lead on her." He said and looked at me confused for a second, like he was asking why I was here. "And where is my Summoner?" Aleksander asked as he approached Fedyor. "Oh. Uh... No. Nina Zenik." Fedyor clarified. "You asked..." Fedyor trailed off as Aleksander nodded. "Yes. Speak." Aleksander said and I made my way to a table where Aleksander had a stand of Whiskey and other kinds of alcohol. I took a glass and filled it with some Whiskey. "She was abducted by Fjerdans. Put on a ship with other Grisha captives, bound for the Ice Court." I rolled my eyes and sighed. Of course the Fjerdans were going to be a pain in the ass. I took a sip from the Whiskey and sat down in a chair. "Someone must have given her up.  Zlatan." Aleksander said, coming to a conclusion that it could've only been him.

"Well, they have a witch hunter in their ranks. Matthias Helvar. He has been clever in tracking Grisha. I want him dead as much as I want her back alive." Fedyor claimed, making me sigh and stand up as I finished my glass of Whiskey. "What you want is irrelevant. Where are they now?" Aleksander asked, looking into his fireplace. "They hit a storm front. We- We lost track of the ship after that." I put my glass down and crossed my arms. "Reach the western coast. Go as far north as you can, Arkesk if you can make it. Bring back any Grisha you find, and barring that you bring me one of theirs." Aleksander said as he stood in front of Fedyor. "Yes, sir." Aleksander walked back to his desk and Fedyor spoke once again. "Ivan and I won't fail you." That's when I spoke. "We need Ivan for a hunt of our own, I'm afraid." I said with a raised eyebrow. Fedyor looked at Aleksander for confimation, making him nod. "Sir. Ma'am. If she's alive, I'll find her." He said and left the room.

It's been a few hours and Aleksander and I have been working hard. I was currently in the bathroom as I heard talking outside. It was probably Zoya, seeing as Aleksander wanted to talk with her. But I don't trust her around him, at all. I walked out of the bathroom and didn't see them in the main room. I heard them talk in his bedroom. I stood outside the door and listened. "You used to call on me on times like this." I clenched my jaw at Zoya's words. "Did I?" Aleksander asked back, sounding completely uninterested in her. "When your table was messy and you bed was neat. I'd help you make it the other way around. You'd let yourself relax." I felt my blood boil at her words. I swear, if she was touching him, I will slaughter her. "I'll relax, but only with Lucille. My Lucille." He said and I could hear him walk off. I smirked and left the room as well, following him. I soon found him and ran up to him.

I practically threw myself at him and kissed him deeply. He was taken by surprise, but he didn't hesitate to kiss me back. "I heard your conversation with Zoya." I said as I pulled away with a bitter tone. He chuckled and moved a piece of my hair behind my ear. "Do I sense jealousy in your voice?" He asked with a smirk. "Maybe." I mumbled back, making him laugh a little. "You and only you have my heart, Lucille. That was long before I met you and now, only you seem to be able to calm me. Nobody else." He reassured me. I nodded and kissed him again shortly. "Nightfall is close. Let's go and bring back Alina." He said, making me nod.

As we were in the carriage, on our way to Ryevost, where Alina was last located. I decided that his was the perfect time for me to speak to Aleksander about Kaz. "My love?" I asked and he hummed in response. "I need to tell you something, but I need you to promise that you won't get mad or irritated at me." Aleksander looked at me confused before turning his body towards me. He grabbed my small hands and held them in his large ones. "I could never be mad or irritated at you, my dear. Now, what is it?" He asked and I took a deep breath. "The people that the Conductor told us about... I know one of them." His eyes went wide at my words. "Why didn't you say anything earlier? We could've tracked them down. Found Alina." "No... I-" I struggled to get the proper words out. "What is it?" He asked with a confused tone. "He's my family. My cousin." Aleksander's confused face turned shocked in a second, not expecting those words to come out from my mouth. "What?" He breathed out and I chuckled nervously.

"I want you to promise me something, Aleks." He nodded, still shocked from the news. "Promise me that you won't hurt Kaz at all. Unless I say otherwise." Aleksander's expression softened and he brought my hands up to his mouth and kissed the top of both. He then looked at me with a sweet smile. "I promise, my love. My Lucille." I smiled and kissed him. "We're here!" The carriage driver exclaimed as the carriage stopped. This will be interesting.
