Chapter 17
"Kid, you're done? Hm, you don't seem to have any advancement in your cultivation. It's alright. It takes time patience to make a breakthrough." The old man smiled and said.
Long Feng nodded.
"Well we can leave now right?" The old man asked again, staring at Long Feng with narrowed eyes.
If Long Feng replied with another excuse, then the old man would immediately take action and capture him. It was all the same thing, as long as he was taken to the Gong Clan alive.
"Mm. We can go. I'm done." Long Feng replied.
"Good. Let's go everyone!" The old man shouted. There were five people in total. He was the only rank two Yin level cultivator, the rest were all rank one.
Long Feng quietly assesesd them as they moved. Suddenly, he unleashed his full strength, his rank seven connate aura surging out if his body.
The old man beside him glared at him coldly. "Damned kid, I didn't believe you would give up so easily. You think you can escape from all of us with your weak cultivation? Quit dreaming!" He snorted and raised an arm.
But before he could reach out to grab Long Feng, the latter ran off, running so fast that he left the rank one Yin level cultivators staring blankly.
Even the old man was startled. "What the hell? How is he suddenly so much faster than before?" He glanced at the others. "Why are you all standing around like idiots! Chase him!" He roared as he rushed forward at his full speed as well.
"The rumors say he was a rank five Connate realm kid and he defeated two peak Connate realm kids. I thought it was an overestimation, but he's currently moving at a speed comparable to a normal rank two Yin level cultivator! This kid can only be taken by the clan. Otherwise, he must be killed!" The old man reasoned as he chased.
Long Feng continuously looked behind as he ran and couldn't help but frown soon. "All the rank one warriors can't keep up. But that damn only man is actually still closing the distance!" He wracked his brain for an idea, but none was forthcoming.
At the end, he merely had strength similar to rank two Yin level current; he wasn't even a Yin realm cultivator in actuality.
Soon, the old man got close again. An incense stick worth of time later, he caught up to Long Feng.
"Kid, this is your last chance! Obediently follow me to the Gong Clan and your life will be spared. Otherwise, I will drag you there and I can't assure your safety!"
Long Feng paused, perspiring on the forehead. "Damn you! I'm a member of the Long clan. How would I join another clan?"
"What member of the Long clan? Kid, you weren't even born there. You're adopted. You can join any clan. The Gong Clan is your best choice!" The old man retorted.
"Sorry. I can't. I am a Long clansman. I can't join the Gong Clan" Long Feng shook his head.
"It's not up to you to decide!" The old man snorted and charged straight at Long Feng with his arm outstretched.
Long Feng was startled. He quickly stepped back, escaping the man's grasp. Then he turned around and started running again.
"Hmph. Kid, you can't escape!" The man shouted and overtook Long Feng again, sending a punch at his chest.
Long Feng's pupils shrank and he crossed his arms across his chest to block the fist. The impact sent him staggering several steps backwards and he nearly fell down.
The old man rushed forward with a kick. Long Feng blocked it again, but his arms both felt numb.
The old man grinned and continued sending punches and kicks. Long Feng dodged what he could and received the rest, each of them causing his arms to nearly feel useless. He could only defend, unable to attack when faced with an old man who had lots of experience.
