Aaron, Aphmau and Airis rushed across the resort, Aphmau searching for something that really caught her eye, or better yet, her stomach.
"It's gotta be around here somewhere." Aphmau muttered under her breath.
"What exactly are we looking for, Mama?" Airis asked.
"A taco stand!" Aphmau exclaimed.
"A what?" Aaron asked.
"My mom told me that there was a taco stand on the island that was just amazing. I need to have a taco there and judge it myself."
"Well, if Abuela says that it's delicious, it has to be true." Airis looked up at her father, "Papa, can we go get a taco, please?"
Aaron laughed at both his girlfriend and his daughter, it was like they had the same mind. He couldn't help but laugh at their similar behavior.
"What?" Airis and Aphmau said at once.
"Nothing... it's just.... the two of you are just too cute."
Aphmau's face turning bright red while Airis simply smiled brightly at her father.
"I just, really like tacos." Aphmau said.
"So can we go get one?" Airis asked.
"Of course we can, Airis. I'll help you guys find it. So Aph, where did your mom say the stand was?"
"She.... didn't say." Aphmau answered nervously.
Aaron just gave her a look with a tight smirk.
"Or... maybe she did say and I forgot what she said." Aphmau admitted.
Aaron laughed, "I kind of guessed that. So, all right then, I'll help you find it."
"Huh?"
"I have a... snooter." Aaron admitted and Airis chuckled. A snooter was what werewolves called their nose, but not even her biological father called his nose a snooter, since it made Airis laugh too much when was really little.
"A what?" Aphmau asked.
"I mean a nose!"
"Did you just say snooter?"
"It's a cutesy term that werewolves for nose." Airis laughed, "Papa used to say it, too, once in a while. You don't have to be embarrassed, Papa. It's just a slip of the tongue."
"Let's just skip that part, okay?" Aaron quickly picked up his daughter to hush her, but Aphmau and Airis couldn't help but laugh at his flustered expression.
"Anyway, um, I can help you find the taco stand. I think. You just have to let me know what I'm looking for."
"A taco, duh." Aphmau answered.
"Yeah, I mean, tacos always smell different. Can you give me something in particular?"
Aphmau hummed in thought for a moment, "Try... raw beef and peppers."
"I don't know if I can actually do this, but, uh.... I'll give it my best shot."
"And don't worry, Papa. I can help, too. Werewolf pups' noses can be just as strong as an adult's."
"Really?" Aphmau questioned.
"Yup!" Airis took a whiff of the air and smelled a lot of peppers and spices in a different direction, "Papa, try sniffing over there."
Aaron nodded and sniffed in the direction Airis was pointing in. Aphmau watched in awe as Aaron was really embracing his werewolf side, and with Airis there to help him along, she felt like this was a new way for them to bond as father and daughter. Especially since they were both Ultimas, they could help each other understand the pain and responsibility of having their curse.
