After resting up in the boat for a while, the gang went back to exploring the island. Of course, Airis went with Aphmau and Aaron, running around the beautiful island and admiring its amazing rides and attractions. It was almost too much for the little werewolf girl to handle.

"The rollercoaster was so worth it!" Aphmau said, "Right Airis?"

"I loved it! It was everything Mama said it would be. It was like I was flying and falling all at the same time! I wanna go again. Can we? Can we?"

Aaron laughed at Airis' excitement, "Well, Aphmau doesn't look like she's getting sick anymore."

"I agree with Airis, we should go on it a few more times again." Aphmau backed up her daughter.

"I'm so down for that, but, uh, we should take a break first." Aaron said.

"Why?"

"I... uh, bathroom."

"Oh, okay Papa."

"Does a fire hydrant count?" Aphmau joked.

"Huh?" Aaron and Airis questioned.

"Hehe, sorry. It's just a joke. I think the restroom's this way. Come on."

Airis and Aaron followed Aphmau to the restrooms, where they stopped for a quick break. Although, Aphmau was taking longer in there than Aaron and Airis did. When she finally came out, she looked a little bit sick.

"You took a while in there." Aaron said.

"Hehehe.... you spoke too soon." Aphmau answered with a nervous chuckle, "Turns out I was still sick after all."

"Aw, babe. If that's the case, maybe we should head back to the boat and rest a little before we continue." Aaron suggested.

"Yeah... sorry." Aphmau apologized, "I know you and Airis were looking forward the rollercoaster some more. Especially since the lines are super died down."

Airis smiled and took Aphmau by the hand, "We have the whole summer to ride the rollercoasters, Mama! Besides, I saw a few games on the boat we can play while we rest."

"Like ball?" Aphmau questioned, "We can play fetch, or something like that."

Aaron silently growled, "We're not dogs, you know."

"Huh?"

"It's just that... sometimes you make these comments a lot. I mean, I do enjoy these things, but that's not what I'm all about. And neither is Airis."

"Papa's right about that.... but for now, let's get to the boat. I want Papa to teach me how to play a game of cards!" Airis let go of Aphmau and grabbed Aaron instead, dragging him back towards the pier where the boat was anchored.

Aphmau followed behind them with thoughts of worry in her mind, hoping that she didn't take her jokes too far.

~~~~~Night~~~~
For most of the day, the three stayed on the boat and played games, taking a good rest before going onto the other rides and games at Starlight Adventure Land. Airis wouldn't stop smiling and laughing with her parents, but she could sense a little bit of awkwardness between her mother and father.
With Aphmau's jokes, Airis couldn't say that she didn't feel a little uncomfortable with them. But then again, her mother's jokes weren't nearly as insensitive as the ones she had gotten back them. To this day they still made her shudder.
Airis sat in bed cuddling the blanket she got from Aaron while they were still recovering, one of the safest things she had to keep her company at night, along with the kind stranger that appeared in her dreams and spoke to her during the day and night.
