"Look, dude, I'M SORRY. Can't you just get over it?"
"No!"
Dirk was getting fed up. He had managed to track his brother down back to their cave and had cornered him at the end away from the exit. Dave would occasionally try to swim around him, but the older one managed to block any moves he made.
"Goddammit, Dirk! Why can't you just let it go?"
Dirk growled, "Are you fucking kidding me? Do have any idea how much trouble we could be in if the Condense found out? We could be killed!!!"
Dave rolled his eyes behind his shades.
"Oh, COME ON. Do you honestly think that any of them are gonna snitch on us?"
Dirk had to think for a moment. To be honest, most of the merpeople in that small group he knew were unlikely to tell anyone, but there was an exception.
"But what about Eridan? That asshole thinks that he's so much better than everyone, and he'd probably just tell to get on the good side of the Sea Bitch," He argued.
"I'm pretty sure that if he tried anything, he would tell Feferi first, and we BOTH know that she wouldn't let him do that!"
Dirk sighed in defeat. He had a feeling that Dave would say that.
"So about this meeting you told me about earlier...." Dave started.
"I've already sent out a bunch of Fishlings with the message of when and where. It's going to be at Skaia at midnight, when no one can listen in on us."
Fishlings were small, humanoid creatures that absently wandered around the underwater city of Alternia. If you had the patience to train some, you could get them to do simple tasks for you such as delivering mail or cleaning up your living space. Most people didn't, however, and either left them alone, or, if they were a little shit like Vriska, they'd kill them for sport.
"Alright. Can I go now?"
Sighing, Dirk swam out of the way of his brother, watching as he left the cave silently.
----------(*TARDIS noises* POV SWAP)-----------
"ARE YOU BLOODY INSANE? DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW DANGEROUS THIS COULD BE???!?"
Jade groaned loudly. "For the last time, Jake, It just slipped out!! Will you just let me out already??!"
Jake had locked Jade in the bathroom by holding knob still while she tried to turn it. It would be stupid if it were one of the convenient doors in movies that locked from the outside. And Grandma couldn't hear any of their yelling because she had gone grocery shopping.
"Exactly HOW did it, as you say, slip out?"
"Well," She started, "It just happened the other day. Karkat and I were talking about random stuff. Then he started arguing with me, and soon we were yelling, and I just kinda....let it out."
Jake face-palmed 1x .
"What did he do when you told him?"
"He just kinda froze for a moment. He stared at me all wide-eyed before running off. I tried to catch up with him but he was too damn fast. Whenever I saw him after that, he kept avoiding me, until yesterday."
"What did you do yesterday?"
"I slapped him and yelled in his face, 'STOP ACTING LIKE I'M GOING TO KILL YOU!!!!'"
Jake raised his eyebrows in surprise. That was so unlike her. He then proceeded to tell his sister how it was so unlike her.
"I know. That's what Karkat said after I slapped him. I'm not sure what came over me. Then he apologized for avoiding me, and promised not to tell anyone. Obviously, Karkat can't keep his big mouth shut for shit."
