Ice Age (Marichat)

marichat is back and they have taken one of my favorite franchises!

what? we all know how coo-coo crazy the ice age movies get. (and no, i haven't seen the buck wilde one because i saw the trailer and wasn't interested)

...also yeah, i know the ice age baby looks a little creepy, but give him a break! we're talking neandertal baby!

but, enjoy! as i like to put this one: "ice age, the one where marichat (hilariously) learns about parenting at 15 and sid thinks he and cat noir are besties yet doesn't know his name"

Marinette had left the note a week ago and half expected Cat Noir to not show up.

But at 8 pm sharp, he arrived, complete with popcorn and candy.

"This isn't the theater, you know," she laughed as she helped him through the window.

"Just trying to be prepared," Cat Noir grinned. "So what are we watching this time?"

Marinette smiled back. "Picked something funny and dorky just for you. Ice Age."

"They made a movie about the Ice Age?"

"They actually made five."

"...You're joking."

Marinette shook her head. "Trust me. You'll like this. It's goofy, like you."

"I want to be offended but I know you're right."

She slid the disc into her computer as they sat down in front of it.

"So why make a movie about the Ice Age?" Cat Noir asked as Scrat began running around the screen.

"I'm not exactly sure," she replied. "Maybe whoever came up with the idea thought it was funny? I mean, it is a funny movie."

They had just got settled when they saw the screen turn to light.

"Oh, we're doing that again," Cat Noir realized, watching a ray of light snake out and curl around Marinette's wrist.

The migration was already underway. Scores of prehistoric animals were heading south for the winter. This was foretold to be the coldest, starting an age of freezing temperatures and ice everywhere. The Ice Age.

A loud thud sounded, and everyone saw the mammoth that was going in the opposite direction. Immediately complaints were thrown at him.

"You're going the wrong way!"

"Raging mammoth!"

The mammoth, Manfred (commonly known as Manny) ignored them, keeping his usual irritated expression.

"Hey, do the world a favor! Move your issues off the road!"

Manny shot down to the animal. "If my trunk was that small, I wouldn't draw attention to myself, pal."

"I... Give me a break," the animal stammered, backing up. "We... we've been waddling all day."

He gestured to his family next to him.

"Oh, go ahead," Manny said, walking on. "Follow the crowd. It'll be quieter when you're gone!"

"Ah, come on," the animal said, pushing his family with the rest of the group. "If he wants to freeze to death, let him."

High up in a tree, a sloth was fast asleep, just as a familiar hero fell down on a branch.

"Gosh, that hurts," Cat Noir moaned, rubbing his head. "Marinette? Marinette, where are you?"
