The Swan Princess (Ladynoir)

this movie wasn't terrible for me. it was just derek. i literally don't understand it. odette is in love with the guy she was bickering with pretty much their entire lives and he just likes her because she's pretty at first and even then, she still loves him. like... what? i barely paid attention to the development of odette and derek's relationship because it somehow made zero sense to me. i know there's gotta be derek and odette shippers out there (there's plaginette so i expect pretty much anything at this point), so sorry, but i'm not a fan of the relationship. i mostly watched the movie for the side characters and rothbart. they were the good bits. 

i also may have just wanted to do this since adrienette just did a swan lake movie. i just wanna see how ladybug would take to being a swan compared to her civilian persona

also no, i will not be doing any of the sequels. they weren't that good.

"You are just punishing me for making us do Wonderland," Ladybug groaned.

Cat Noir's smile only grew wider as he shoved The Swan Princess closer to Ladybug's face. "Do you not like this movie or something?"

"It's Derek. That's the problem. Oh, and Rothbart. And the moon phases."

Cat Noir snickered a little. "Then you're gonna have fun with this one!"

Ladybug blew a raspberry. "I regret letting you take a turn now."

Cat Noir laughed harder. "M'lady, I would've picked this one either way."

Ladybug rolled her eyes a little. Her kitty was just so persistent... "Okay, fine. But I'm not going to enjoy it."

She'd already suffered the fever dream that was Wonderland. She was certain this movie would involve her becoming a swan and dealing with Derek the...

Actually, she wasn't ready to even imagine the word she wanted to use.

Potty mouth, she scolded herself. 

For some reason, they didn't go into the movie straight from the start. 

"Wow, will we actually have a normal movie experience for once?" she asked as they watched the prologue, setting up all the characters. 

"If it were normal, someone would be laying on the other person's shoulder," Cat Noir joked, then felt a weight settle on his shoulder. He turned in surprise. 

"What?" Ladybug asked. "You wanted a normal movie experience."

Cat Noir looked away to keep her from seeing his reddening cheeks. 

They finally saw the screen freeze on Derek forced into the ballroom, right before Odette would appear. 

"Oh, so we're going into this one," Ladybug shrugged, watching the light encase her hand.

Ladybug landed right in the middle of the ballroom where grown-up Odette and Derek would realize they were in love with each other. 

Yeah right. Who in their right mind would love Derek!?

Wait... where was Odette?

"Hello, Ladybug."

Ladybug turned to see Derek walk up to her, a giddy smile on his face. 

"How do you know my name?" she stepped back. 

Derek furrowed his brows. "Ladybug... we've been meeting each other every summer."
