Grace's POV
I still can't believe that I was pregnant. It still felt so surreal.
Josh was even more excited than I am. He had researched into Google and had been busy grocery shopping buying fruits and eggs for me. He took his role of daddy seriously, whipping fruit shakes and preparing breakfast if he got the time.
As if he didn't have his hands full with being a world renowned member of SB19, but I was happy that he was paying attention to me and our bby's needs.
There were times that Josh would leave really early in the morning, so he would have no time to prepare breakfast for me, which is fine. I've been living on my own for so many years, I could fix my own breakast. It was no problem for me.
But leaving me alone was a problem for Josh. He would constantly message me, asking how I was, asking if I was having morning sickness. I would assure him that I was fine. Because I totally am. Josh was being such a dad now.
Being pregnant was still surreal for me. I had no idea how to tell my parents. Or my siblings. Or even Josh's mom and sister for that matter. We were both keeping it on the down low, unsure on how to break the news. I mean, what would we say? Hey, we've been secretly married for years now and we're expecting a child! Yey.
Ughh.
I bet my brothers would beat Josh to death. I was sure my parents would be too. They would be so devastated that I never told them that I was married through all these years.
But, maybe they'd soften up once they know I'm pregnant. No one can resist a baby, right?
Ughh.
I had no idea on how I'm going to break the news to all of them. I would need more brains to think on how to solve this.
I sat on the dining table, quietly eating oatmeal with bananas. Josh was at Dumaguete with the rest of SB19. TM had invited them for to perform. I sat there replying to Josh's chat. He seemed really worried about leaving me alone. He even told Jillian and Mhai to keep me company tonight.
I had rolled my eyes at that. The girls had their own lives as well. Josh was being really protective.
To which I don't mind. Who doesn't love a man protecting them, right? At the same time, I was an alpha female. There are some times when I wanted to prove to him that I can totally be fine even when I'm alone.
My phone pinged. I opened it absent-mindedly, thinking that it was Josh.
I nearly spit my oatmeal.
"What?!" I cried out in surprise as I tried to process the very information that I was reading. I must be hiding under a rock for the past years.
Paige just sent me a chat.
And it was a wedding invitation.
I admit Paige and I hadn't been talking for some months now. Ever since I moved back to the Philippines, we were not able to meet up. I was too caught up with Josh, with work and with my depression that I hadn't had time to talk to her. Paige just arrived from Canada too and was caught up with her mission work as well.
I had no idea that she had a boyfriend, let alone a fiance.
I read the invitation that she sent, grateful that even if we hadn't talked for months, she still wanted to invite me to her wedding.
I almost choked on my oatmeal, again.
She was marrying Clark!
Fudge.
