Grace's POV

Doc Judith did a repeat ultrasound early the next morning. I just stared at the ultrasound monitor not knowing what I was looking at. All I saw were a bunch of gray lines.

"This is a good sign. It's a complete abortion so you won't have to undergo surgery," Doc Judith said.

Josh and I both sighed in relief.

"It looks like I can discharge you. I'll just give you a prescription for antibiotics and you're good to go."

"That's good, Doc. We're anxious to go home," Josh said. Our eyes met and he smiled at me. I smiled back affectionately.

"Let's have a repeat ultrasound after a week, okay?" Doc Judith said, meeting our eyes. "If you have any questions, feel free to ask them now."

"When can I get pregnant again?" I asked boldly, not meeting Josh's eyes. I knew he asked me to get married to him again, and we haven't talked about children yet.

I wasn't even sure if he wanted to have kids. I wasn't even sure if he wanted kids even after what happened. What if he's traumatized? What if he wants to wait for years?

I guess I'll just have to wing this.

"You can get pregnant again after 6 months," Doc Judith replied.  "In the meantime, I'd like both of you to stay healthy. Okay?"

"Okay."

My heart jumped. Josh and I had said "okay" in unison.

I looked at my husband. He was looking at me as well.

Josh reached for my hand and squeezed it. "6 months seems too long," he commented.

Doc Judith smiled at him. "6 months is just perfect."

"Okay, Doc. 6 months it is," Josh replied, squeezing my hand again. He turned to me and said, "Guess I'll have to stop myself from blowing everything inside for 6 months."

I slapped his arm. "Stop it. You're embarassing me," I said. I could feel my cheeks turning red at his comment. Why was he blatantly telling anyone about our sex life?

Doc Judith just smiled and winked at both of us. "Good luck," she said.

As soon as Josh and I arrived, we found the rest of SB19 together with their significant others waiting outside my condo unit.

"How are you?" Justin immediately asked us.

Josh and I looked at each other. I could tell that they were really worried.

"Why don't we go inside? I'm sure Grace would be more comfortable that way," Mhai suggested before I could even answer Justin's question.

"That sounds good," Josh replied. He ushered me inside with the rest of our friends following behind us.

"We were so worried, Ate Grace," Jillian said, as soon as we were in my living room.

"How are you, Grace?" Gab asked me.

I smiled at her affectionately. "I'm okay, Doc. Don't you go worrying about me. You have a baby to think about now," I told her.

I didn't want Doc Gab to worry. I heard that she had bleeding episodes too early during her pregnancy. I didn't want her to be stressed. I had to assure her that I was okay.

Technically, I'm not okay. I mean, I am, but I'm not.

Am I making sense?

Anyway, she still looked pretty worried.
