Aria barges into the general assembly room, welcomed by pure chaos. All the delegates have collectively ganged up on Luke for his failed attempts of conflict resolution. He's made things worse, though, he was going to walk out in ten-minutes and leave the wolves to fend for themselves.
However, the blond seeing her storm into the room – surprisingly – sent relief to crash over him. Never has he ever been grateful at the sight of Aria Stanton, and that says a lot. She's frustrated, frustrated at the fact that Luke couldn't do his fucking job and now she has to fix it.
According to Dr. Moore, the conflict has gotten worse in the past thirty-minutes, and the human resources rep they sent up has done nothing but make the yelling and arguments get louder and harsher.
The sudden entry of the girl caused the room to go silent for a split second, all eyes on Aria. "What the fuck is going on?" She curses, staring at Luke and his incompetence. The first words she's spoken to him in the past two weeks, and it's aimed at his failure to do a simple task.
"Well blondie is being a dick," someone heckles, eliciting a stream of chuckles from the room.
"I wasn't asking you," Aria snaps. Hoping that this doesn't go overtime and result in her getting home any later. Not to mention, Michael caught a ride with Calum, leaving her alone with no one to rant to on the drive home. "Luke, what the fuck did you do?"
All the stress, anger, annoyance of the past fifty-minutes have finally caught up to her. Now, she's letting it all out on the one person she knows can take it, him. She doesn't care about the high road, Aria is taking a chance to express any lingering hate boiling under the surface while she can.
The worst part of it all, he's excited. The thrill of unsaid arguments are welcome to spill out. It's been boring trying to be the better person, he's always been the kind to stoop low.
"What did I do?" He questions, picking a fight with the girl, "I've been trying to fucking fix this! These mother fuckers are annoying and stubborn as hell and won't shut the fuck up!" He yells, "What have you been doing?"
"My job, you dumbass!" She screams, "And by the looks of it, you don't know how to do yours!"
The arguing. The insults. The simple act of cursing him out. It's actually really fun.
"Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't know that editing articles was a lot harder than resolving a conflict between fucking idiots!" He retorts, raising his hands up in faux defense. "Maybe if I walzted in here like a fucking narcissist the way you did, they would have listened to me!"
"Oh, so you do have a brain?" She quips, "Why haven't you been using it?"
The room has gone silent. All delegates stare in shock, unsure of what to do. The attention has been turned away from them and diverted towards the two enemies that are letting out days of anger and insults.
"I don't have to now! You're here," he groans. "Since you're such a fucking smart ass, how about you solve the issue?"
"Fine!"
"Fine!"
Aria huffs, eyes scanning the room for who she believes to be the main culprit. She picks the hilarious heckler, pointing a finger at him, "You. Tell me what's going on."
"Well, I'm in a room full of people who can't take a joke." He replies, leaning back into the chair. "I got berated for a comment, and made a villain." He shrugs, seeing no wrong in the things he's said.
Aria rolls her eyes, she does not have the energy to fully digest the situation. Instead, she groans, "Dude, literally shutting the fuck up is not hard." She says, "If you pride yourself in being right, stay quiet."
