Week 46: Daddy's Blessings

So happy to announce that the Shield's recruitment has reached 300k reads so in light of the good news I am giving you another chapter today.

Dean Ambrose picks up a microphone, "This is how easily we will destroy the Wyatt's this Sunday at TLC. They think they've separated the Shield but we are stronger than ever."

Seth takes the microphone, "This Sunday Stephanie is going to be sorry that she decided to turn her back on us. We don't take backstabbing very lightly."

"TLC. The same pay-per-view we won and conquered last year for the first time in our career. You know what they say, history is doomed to repeat itself." Roman adds.

The show ends and all three members of the Shield head back the locker room. Dean's eyes drift to a familiar shape walking by.

He walks towards it, "Hey,"

"Hi," Stephanie says awkwardly.

"Can we talk for a second?" He asks thinking about her apology from last week.

"Um," before she can reply her phone rings from her pocket, "hold on a second."

Dean nods his head, "Sure,"

Stephanie turns to the side to answer her phone, "Hey mom...what...is he okay...okay, I'm coming home...no I'm leaving right now just call me if something changes."

Dean notices the tears starting to form in her eyes, "Is everything okay?"

"My dad had a heart attack and he's in the hospital," She says rubbing her forehead, "I have to go back home."

"Well I'll go with you."

"No, it's fine. I'll go alone."

Dean grabs her arm, "You shouldn't have to deal with this alone."

A few hours later...

Stephanie and Dean head straight for the hospital that her dad is staying at. Stephanie enter the hospital room where her dad is sleeping in the bed and her mom is sitting in the chair beside him.

"Mom," she reaches out to with tears in his eyes.

"Hi honey, it's okay. He's gonna be okay."She comforts her daughter and wipes the tears from her cheeks.

"Where's Alec?"

"He went to get something to eat. He'll be back." Her mom notices Dean in the doorway, "Oh Dean, it's good to see you again. Please come on in." She waves him over to give him a hug too.

Stephanie walks over to the side of the bed. She takes her dad's hand hoping that he would open his eyes but he doesn't.

"The doctors say he's gonna be okay so don't worry. This isn't the end of the road for him." Her mom rubs her shoulder.

Dean and Stephanie stay at the hospital for a few hours before leaving for a hotel closes to the hospital just in case anything comes up. She wouldn't be able to sleep at the hospital knowing why she's there.

Stephanie is in her room thinking about all the things that she had said to her dad that day she brought Dean with her. Suddenly a knock on the door from the room next to hers breaks her train of thought. She slowly reaches for the door knowing how it is.

The door opens to Dean, "If you wanna be alone then just slam the door in my face right now and I'll leave you alone."

A smirk appears on Stephanie's face, "Just get in here. I'm used to this routine already."
