Tonight is the final Raw before Money in the Bank and after finding out last week that Vince has given Stephanie and Alissa permission to do a street fight match they have been training in the ring before every show to be sure that the match will be entertaining that no one will want to miss it. So no bathroom breaks during their match.
Alissa has Stephanie in a head scissor lock which she kip-ups out of it. There are a few spectators watching the two fight, including Dean Ambrose. Since kissing him Stephanie has been trying to feel indifferent about it to get over whatever she’s feeling about him which is mostly confusion and so far it’s worked.
“Alright, I need a break.” Alissa slides out of the ring and sits on the apron.
“Oh come on, the age is catching up with you.” Alissa has been wrestling since she was fifteen and now being in her thirties she has been all over the world wrestling. The age they both started wrestling was the connection that made them close friend. Alissa, being 27 at the time and Stephanie being 14, understood what it was like wrestling young and being taken seriously.
Alissa wipes the sweat off her forehead, “Hey, I’ve got more mileage on me than you do. You’re still young.”
“Fine, I’ll just work with AJ while you relax.”
Before Stephanie can call out to AJ, who was sitting behind the barricade talking to Kaitlyn, she hears Dean’s voice behind her.
“I’ll fill in for her.” He says going through the ropes.
“Are you serious?”
He shrugs his arms up, “If you don’t have a problem with it.”
Stephanie accepted his offer and thinks nothing of it. They circle the ring until they lock up and she gets Dean in a side headlock. Dean counters by pushing Stephanie into the ropes where she bounces back to dropkick him. He lands on his back and quickly gets back to his feet with a missed clothesline after she ducked underneath it. Stephanie aims to hit him with a cross body but he catches her followed with a side slam. He reaches down to put her in a submission hold which she counters by monkey flipping him and taking her with him. Now she’s on top of him, basically straddling him, with their hands interlocked. For a few seconds they stare at each other and she gets lost in his blue eyes until she releases his hands and gets to her feet. She helps Dean up to his feet and rolls out of the ring.
He looks over at Alissa, “Good luck,” he points to Stephanie, “you’re gonna need all the energy you can get to keep up.”
Dean walks up the ramp disappearing through the curtain. Stephanie rolls out of the ring to sit next to Alissa.
“Was that a compliment?” She asks her.
Alissa stutters before clearly answering, “I would take it.”
Just when things inside Stephanie Skye’s mind has settled now it’s just gotten even more confusing.
