Week 37: The Announcement

Its minutes before the Shield have to do their interview segment when Dean, followed by Seth and Roman, are heading towards the interview area when they see some of the divas crowded around nearby. He doesn't think much about it until he sees Stephanie in the middle of all the commotion.

"What's going on over there?" Seth asks.

Dean shrugs his shoulders, "I don't know."

Rosa Mendes leaves the circle of women when Roman pulls her aside, "Hey Rosa, what's going on with the divas?"

"You guys haven't heard?" She says with a surprised tone, "Stephanie's engaged. You have to see her ring, it is gorgeous."

Dean's mind is stuck in a state of shock at what Rosa said. He hopes that he miss heard her but notices Stephanie showing off her left hand to the other girls which confirms it. He knew that she would find someone else at some point but didn't think that it would happen so fast.

The divas disperse when one of the producers calls Stephanie to film their interview segment. She takes her ring off and puts it in her pocket. Dean looks at her as she stands in between him and Renee.

"So you're getting married, why the sudden decision?" He asks without even thinking.

Stephanie scoffs, "Likes it's any of your business. Why don't you keep your mind on wrestling since that's all you care about."

Dean doesn't respond considering he brought this upon himself.

"Please welcome my guests at this time the Shield." Renee Young says turning to face Stephanie to start her questions, "Stephanie, last week Bray Wyatt revealed his intentions and that is to have you join the Wyatt Family, do you have a response about the sudden offer?"

Renee points the microphone at Stephanie but she doesn't respond to her question. She just has a blank stare as she thinks to herself.

"That was easier than I thought, but what did I expect Dean to do? It's not like he would care enough to talk me out of the decision. I still have another decision to think about and that's whether or not to transition over to the Wyatt Family. Maybe it's something else I'll have to do to move forward."

The interview ends and Stephanie heads for the locker room when suddenly Dean sneaks up behind her and pulls her to a isolated area to talk to her in private.

"So what, you can't take a break up so you go ahead and marry the first guy to pull a ring out for you?"

"Again, why do you care? You were the one that called everything off. You don't want me physically and you certainly don't want me emotionally so what's your problem...unless there's something you want to say to me."

Dean looks at her but doesn't answer.

She smiles, "That's what I thought." She shoves pass him but turns back, "And if you have a problem with Brent then you can tell him yourself. He's gonna be traveling with us for awhile."

Right when Stephanie disappears around the corner his jaw tightens at the thought of him being around more than he'd like.
