Week 20: New Heights

Money in the Bank

It’s the middle of the show and so far Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins have already competed and just now AJ has won the Divas Championship from Kaitlyn.

She feels happy for her friend but at the same time she is envious for not getting the chance herself to compete for it.

Suddenly she feels an elbow nudge her back. She turns her head to see Dean Ambrose with his arms crossed over his chest, “That should be you holding that belt.”

“Nah, she’s worked hard for it and I can’t take that from her.”

“That’s the same thing I would say about you.”

“I appreciate it.”

“I’ll see you after your match.” Dean walks back the hallway he came from. He’s in the Money in the Bank match later tonight.

AJ comes over with tears in her eyes from winning something that she’s worked hard for.

“Congrats, AJ.” Stephanie gives AJ a hug.

“Thanks, I’m actually excited for your match with Melissa.”

“Yeah I’m sure you are.” Earlier in the day, Mark informed them that AJ would get involved in the match.

“So what have we decided to do?” Alissa asks.

“It’s got to be something big since we’re finally getting the divas division some more attention.”

Stephanie pulls the girls close and shares her idea, “I think I have an idea, but maybe we should keep it to ourselves.” If Mark or Vince knows about it then they will for sure not allow them to go through with it.

After a long gruesome street fight match, Stephanie Skye and Alissa Flash climbs up to the top of the ladder. When they see AJ coming down to the ring they look at each other.

“Ready?” Stephanie asks.

Alissa grabs Stephanie’s arms, “Safe landings.”

The ladder begins to timber over until Alissa and Stephanie fly off it and land on the double stacked tables. Alissa lands perfecting but Stephanie starts to feel a sharp pain in the side of her leg that she landed on. On cue, all three members of the Shield come to the site with a look of shock on their faces since the stunt was kept between the three of them. Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins help Stephanie get to her feet. She limps to the guardrail until the pain in her leg forces her to collapse to her knees.

Dean kneels beside her, “Are you okay?”

“My leg hurts, really bad.” She grunts in midsentence.

Dean turns to Roman, “Hey, help me get her over the barricade.”

Roman scoops Stephanie up as Dean jumps the barricade and to take her from Reigns. She looks back at Alissa who winks at her which is a symbol that she’s okay.

Dean carries Stephanie backstage all the way to the trainer’s room to get her leg checked out by the physician.

Monday Night Raw

After last night’s match, all three of the girls got scolded but at the same time praised for their stunt at the end of the match. In the end no one got hurt except for Stephanie Skye’s sprained ankle from the fall.

In a few minutes the Shield are going to come out during AJ’s speech that she’s gonna make about her taking Stephanie Skye and Alissa Flash out.

“…everyone was more concerned with the match between Alissa and Stephanie…”

She’s waiting behind the curtain with the guys. Luckily, she doesn’t have to compete this week due to her ankle but just standing around waiting hurts just as much.

“Hey,” Dean nudges her shoulder, “you okay?” He asks scans her leg.

“Yeah, I’m just glad I don’t have to compete this week or else I’d be screwed.”

“In my opinion, that fall was worth it, even though you girls got in trouble for doing it.” Seth says.

Roman nods his head, “It’s definitely worth a Slammy Award this year.”

"Even Alissa really liked jumping off the ladder, me not so much since I have a fear of heights."

"Speaking of her," Dean asks, "how's she doing since last night?"

"She's pretty pleased, especially since she gets a good vacation. She went back to San Francisco this morning to spend her vacation time at home with her cat."

“Sierra, Hotel, India, Echo, Lima, Delta…S.H.E.I.L.D.”

Dean and Stephanie take the lead down the stairs. Once Stephanie takes the first step she wobbles a little until she feels Dean’s hand grabbing on to hers. She leans into him to regain her balance. When she looks up at him Dean’s attention is focused towards the ring, never breaking character. She squeezes his hand as if saying thank you through her hand.
