"You're joking. There's no way you could be MyDeadLivingSoul."
Keith frowned and took out his phone. He showed me his Twitter page, which was in fact MyDeadLivingSoul. "Do you believe me now?"
I stared him down. What was going on? Every time something happened between me and Jacob, or even Damian, there would be a post about it on Twitter. Unless it was all just a big coincidence I guess, but I didn't believe in coincidences.
"I'm taking that as a no." He put his phone away and sighed. "Look, I'm not trying to feed you lies and whatnot, I'm just trying to help you."
"Help me how?"
"By telling you the truth about what really happened between Jacob and Tammy."
I frowned at the mention of Tammy. "No, I don't want to know anymore. I'm over it." I quietly said, trying to find the truth in those words.
Keith raised his eyebrow at me. "Is that so? Then it wouldn't mean anything to you if I said that Jacob and Tammy used to date."
My breath caught as I tried to roll my eyes. "I already figured that out."
"What if I told you," he paused, as if trying to be more cautious with his next words, "that although MyDeadLivingSoul is my Twitter account, it's his feelings and emotions that are poured out into each post. At least, all the ones recently. You see, what if I told you that people do go to me for finding out information about people, but-"
"Keith, that's enough." I turned around quickly to see Jacob walking over, glaring at Keith.
"What? Why is this enough? Doesn't she deserve to know? Shouldn't she know about you and Tammy and this Twitter account? Why can't she-"
"Keith!" Jacob yelled again, "enough is enough."
I slowly back away from both of them, suddenly feeling extremely worried. Keith, on the other hand, didn't seem scared at all. Instead he pointed at me and yelled, "Look, you've frightened her!"
Jacob turned around to look at me and all his anger melted away. "Come on Rebecca, let's get you home." He walked towards me but I backed up again. There was no way I was going 'home' with him. Jacob took a deep breath and sat down on a nearby bench. I stood there, frozen, as I watched tears form and fall from his eyes.
I quickly glanced at Keith to see what I should do, but he was already gone. Now it was just me and Jacob left. Should I do something? Or maybe I should just leave quietly.
Jacob began sobbing as he was now constantly rubbing his eyes and his body was shaking. Oh my goodness, even if I wanted to help, I don't think I would be able to. After all, I'm not good at consoling myself, let alone other people.
I was about to walk away when I heard him softly mutter something that sounded like "My love." I had to listen intently or else I could barely hear it. Maybe it was this or something else, but I finally approached him, although unsure of what to do.
"Jacob?" I whispered. He slowly moved his hands away from his eyes so he could see me, and I could obviously read the surprise written on his face.
"Re-b-becca?" He whispered back. "A-am I dre-e-eaming?" He asked between his shaky breaths.
I frowned slightly, wondering if he had gone delusional. Instead, I slowly got down on my knees so I was eye-level with him. My trembling hands reached out to his wet cheek and slowly my thumb wiped some tears off his face. It was a weird thing to do, but I honestly couldn't help myself.
"No, you're not." I finally answered.
Jacob smiled and took my hands from his face. He held them happily as he took deep breaths so his breathing would go back to normal. "Do-o you l-love me?"
