"Jacob. Why are you doing this to me? Why did your friends even bring me into your group in the first place? Why, Jacob? Why? Tell me. TELL ME!" I screamed. My eyes were watery and my hands were frantically shaking Jacob, trying to get answers.
"STOP. STOP IGNORING ME. LOOK AT ME. LOOK AT ME!" His head slowly raised and his eyes met mine.
"I'm sorry." He whispered.
Jacob disappeared and a door appeared in his place. It was a deep shade of green, much like the front door of my own house. Without knocking I turned the doorknob and stepped in.
I was immediately exposed to very loud shouting, although for some reason I wasn't surprised. "YOU'RE KIDDING ME. YOU DON'T EVEN CARE ABOUT ME."
I slowly crept deeper into my house and glanced at the kitchen where the voices were coming from. My mother had red eyes from crying and her hands were shaking with rage, whereas my father kept sighing in frustration and you could see all the creases on his forehead. Neither of them seemed to notice my presence as I walked into the kitchen and started to cry. Seeing the two of them fight like this broke my heart. But somehow it felt right, like this was how it was supposed to happen.
"HONEY, OF COURSE I DO!" He yelled back.
"DON'T LIE. IT'S ALL BECAUSE OF HER. I KNOW IT IS." Suddenly my mother turned around and faced me. There was an evil grin on her face.
"Sweetie. Let's go for a drive." My father suggested. I wordlessly nodded my head as tears continued to stream down my face.
The three of us piled into the car and I naturally took the driver's seat. My father sat in the passenger seat and mother sat in the back. The car keys were already in the ignition. Neither of my parents spoke as I drove along the road.
I decided to drive to a place where we would all be happy. One happy family. Stopping at a red light next to an unfamiliar supermarket, I decided we would go to Disneyland because I heard it was the happiest place on earth. In my mind I calculated that it would take ten minutes on the highway to get there.
Halfway there we passed by mother's favorite restaurant. I'm not sure what happened but suddenly there was shouting again, even louder than before. I took my hands off the steering wheel and lifted them to my ears to try to block them out.
"STOP!" I shouted. I kept shouting again and again for them to stop but nothing changed. I put more pressure on the gas pedal and the car accelerated. Crying my eyes out, I looked at the blurry road in front of us.
"PLEASE STOP!" I yelled again.
All of a sudden the shouting stopped. I rubbed my eyes and looked forward. We were heading toward a glass building. Before I knew it the car drove forward into the building and glass flew everywhere. I tried to get the car to stop but my foot seemed glued to the gas pedal. Driving through the cubicles in the building, the car ran over desks and chairs. I tried to gain control of the car again, but it was no use. The steering wheel would not budge.
As I looked back at my family one last time, I screamed when I felt the zero gravity effect. I froze in fear when I saw a large body of ocean below me. This was the end. I didn't drown or feel any pain as all three of us sat in the sinking car. None of us tried to get out, we all just sat there. I slowly closed my eyes, hearing weird sirens in the background. Perhaps help was here.
But it was too late now.
A faint high-pitched sound, that I assumed was the siren, constantly echoed through my head.
BEEEEEEP. BEEEEEEEP.
I slowly opened my eyes and took in my surroundings. Sitting up, I wiped away my tears and saw that I was in my room. It took me a moment to figure out that it was just a dream... Again. I sighed, realizing that it was a Saturday morning and there was beeping coming from downstairs.
