Fun Facts and Q+A

Let me be honest, I have been wanting to do something like this ever since I first started writing on Wattpad. So while writing this book, when anything seemingly interesting happened I would try to remember it so I would later be able to use it as a fun fact. Speaking of which, I think that was Fun Fact #1. =) 

Fun Fact #2. As you might have noticed, I basically wrote on the top of my head for each chapter. I didn't plan ahead (although I should have) and I usually only had a vague idea of what I wanted the ending to be like. It wasn't until I was writing chapter 27 that I knew it would be the last chapter. I'll try to be more prepared next time though =)

Fun Fact #3. Based on what I said in the previous one, you should know that Damian came up out of the blue. I had never originally intended for Rebecca to have a male best friend, but one day when I was writing he just appeared on the screen, and I went with it. 

Fun Fact #4. After I had posted one chapter after the one where Jacob kissed Tammy, one of my friends told me that she didn't like Jacob anymore and that she was now shipping Rebecca and Damian. In the following chapter, I put in some fan service for her which you may or may not have noticed. ;)

Fun Fact #5. Keith was mainly introduced into the story because I didn't want it to be that obvious that it was Jacob who was MyDeadLivingSoul. He did play a slightly bigger role in the end though- that creepy guy who follows Rebecca around. Lol jk about the last part.

Fun Fact #6. Although this book is by no means intended to be a humorous book, I did occasionally try to throw in some things that I thought would be funny. What I really want to know is- did anyone laugh while reading? Even just a little bit? 

Fun Fact #7. I had a whole flashback story planned for why Rebecca was afraid of driving, but I never ended up using it. And, until I mentioned it now, was anyone else curious as to why she was? 

Fun Fact #8. The Youtube video that Jacob said he used to introduce Rebecca into the group is actually mentioned in If Only, and in more detail. I don't quite remember what chapter it was, but I thought it would be cool to make that connection. How many of you who have read both books caught that? =) 

Fun Fact #9. I think this story might be the most fun I've had on a writing project to date, because a lot of it had to do with how Rebecca reacted with the outside world, and seeing the world through her eyes was a refreshing experience. Also, I was able to get creative with how to get Rebecca to slowly fall in love with Jacob, which is always fun, especially since I haven't written much romance before. 

Fun Fact #10. In chapter 23, the "Falling Slowly Demo" I posted is actually me and my amateur ukulele skills. (which you've probably already figured out if you read the A/N at the end of that chapter.) The fun fact is that I originally wanted to use lines from the MyDeadLivingSoul posts and try to make them into lyrics. In the end though, I just ended up writing new ones. 

Now, onto questions. =D (sorry there aren't many of these)

Question 1. Which character do you connect with the most? 

The first answer that popped into my head was Rebecca, because believe it or not, while I was writing Rebecca's character I saw a lot of myself in her. Her personality, for example, has pretty big similarities to mine, such as how she's very indecisive. However, after some consideration I feel like Damian might also be a character I connect a lot with. 

Question 2.  What was your favorite scene in Falling Slowly? 

To be honest, there were a lot of "favorite" scenes that I really liked throughout writing this book. One of my favorites, however, would have to be the Pictochat scene with Rebecca and Jacob. After writing that chapter I was gushing about how cute it was, at least in my opinion. =D  

Question 3.  How do you find time to write? 

My answer to this is simple- if you love what you do, you'll make time to do it. =) 

Question 4. Who is your favorite character in Falling Slowly? 

Sorry, but I can't choose favorites D= I love them all <3 Okay, that was a bit of a cop-out answer. I guess I would say Rebecca because it was great seeing her character development and all.
