Wanda could feel his grief. She felt the pain in Hayden's heart.

Hayden watched from space as his home planet, Gallifrey, was decimated, every city was attacked, and every man, woman, and child was killed. Then a transmission was sent to his TARDIS... it showed his mother dying, and there was nothing he could do about it. This was one of the main reasons Hayden wanted to protect Earth.

He didn't want it to suffer the same fate as his home world.

Wanda released Hayden, who simply fell to the ground in confusion as tears began to fall and he repeatedly whispered, "Please don't do this.

Wanda looked down at the young man, also gathering her thoughts. Like her, he had lost his parents. The only difference was that Wanda protested the war and the United States while Hayden fought to protect this world without anyone knowing it until he joined the Avengers.

Wanda had to continue her mission. She left Hayden and went to where Clint was. Before she could handle him as well, Clint turned and planted a taser arrow on her forehead, incapacitating her.

"I did the whole mind control thing. I'm not a fan." Said Clint.

Pietro ran up the stairs to help his sister and pushed Clint out the window. Pietro pulled the arrow out and began to carry Wanda, running out of the ship.

Clint lay on the floor.

"Yeah, you better run."

--------------------------------

Tony had dealt with Banner, who had transformed into the Hulk under Wanda's mind control.

The city they were in had suffered significant damage from Tony and the Hulk's battle, and the Avengers weren't going to be fan favorites anytime soon.

It felt like everyone was at a low point. Banner was on the ground, guilty of the damage he had done. Steve and Hayden leaned against the wall of the Quinjet, with the latter pinned to the ground, curled up like a child. Clint piloted the jet while the rest of the team sat in thought.

"The news loves you guys. But nobody else." Said Maria through the communicator. "No warrant for Banner's arrest, but it's hanging over his head."

"The Stark Foundation?" Tony asked.

"Already on the scene. How's the team doing?" She asked.

"Everyone is..." Said Tony before pausing. "...stunned. We'll be fine."

"For now, stay in stealth mode... and don't come back." Replied Maria.

"We run and hide?" Tony asked as he approached the screen.

"Until we find Ultron. I don't have much else to offer." Said Maria.

"Neither do we." Sighs Tony.

Tony turned off the communicator and walked over to Clint, offering to take his place in the pilot.

"I'm fine, we only have a few hours of flying time." Clint told him.

"To go where?" Tony asked.

Clint was still fixated on the sky ahead.

"A safe house."

--------------------------------

The seven Avengers looked out of place as they walked to the farmhouse. Thor was still wearing his cape and holding his hammer while Steve was wearing his Captain America outfit. Hayden still had his suit on with his Screwdrivers in the inside pockets of his jackets.

"Honey?" Clint shouted as the team walked through the door. "I'm home."

Clint's pregnant wife, Laura, walked into the living room and saw the Avengers.

"With company. Sorry I couldn't call first." Clint apologized as he walked over to her and kissed her.

Tony looked at Hayden.

"He's an agent of some kind." He said.

Hayden simply shrugged.

"Gentlemen, this is Laura." Said Clint, introducing his wife to the other members.

"I know all your names." She said.

Footsteps were heard running down the hallway and Clint's children entered.

"Hello sweetheart!" Said Clint as he carried his young daughter and hugged his older son.

"These are...smaller agents." Said he as he pointed to the children.

The young girl also reached out to hug Natasha.

"Sorry for barging in on you, Laura." Hayden apologized.

"Yeah, we would have called first but we were busy not knowing you existed." Tony snapped.

Clint explained how Nick Fury created the farm for his family when he joined SHIELD.

Thor left the house, followed by Steve.

--------------------------------

Later that night, the team was in the dining room. They were surprised by the sudden appearance of none other than Nick Fury himself.

Hayden was listening to Fury talk while he played darts with Tony and Clint.

"Ultron has taken you out of the game to buy time. According to my contacts, he's building something. Given the vibranium he took with him... he must be building more than one." Fury explained.

"And Ultron himself?" Steve asked.

Fury turned away from the counter.

"Easy to locate. He's everywhere. He's multiplying faster than a Catholic rabbit." He replied.

Hayden walked over to the board to grab his dart. Tony threw one of his.

"Is he still chasing the launch codes? Tony asked.

"He is. But he's not making any progress. He's obsessed with the missiles. But the codes keep changing." Replied Fury.

"By whom?" Asked Tony, who was suddenly surprised by Clint throwing a dart at the board near his face, hitting the center.

"We don't know." Fury replied.

Nick Fury continued to explain Ultron's mission to destroy the Avengers, and that it was up to their minds and their own knowledge to take him down.

"So get up. Fuck that platinum bastard." Said Fury as he sat down at the table.

"Steve doesn't like bad words." Joked Natasha as she looked at Steve.

"You know what, Romanoff?" Said Steve.

Fury ignored the joke and continued.

"So what does he want?" Fury asked.

Hayden leaned against the wall after throwing his dart.

"To become better?" He offered, earning a look from Steve. "No offense. Biologically speaking, the human form is outdated. But it keeps coming back to it."

Bruce stands next to Natasha and looks at a drawing of Clint's daughter, Lila. It was of a butterfly.

"She doesn't need to be protected. Humanity needs to evolve." Bruce looked up at the team. "Ultron will evolve."

Fury's ears perked up.

"How?" he asked.

Bruce's mind began to race, he knew where he would go to acquire a new form.

"Has anyone been in contact with Helen Cho?" Bruce asked.
