As night fell at the complex, Wanda was in Hayden's room, watching a movie with him. She wasn't really paying attention to the movie and was just enjoying the feel of her boyfriend's arms around her.
He had told her about his conversation with Tony and she was growing more and more against the Accords. Tony had proven that they only served to make superheroes more like weapons.
An explosion in the front lawn of the complex took the couple by surprise. They moved to the window and saw the flames shooting out. Vision, in his normal outfit, appeared beside them.
"What is it?" Wanda asked.
"Stay here, please." Said Vision before walking through the wall to investigate the area.
Once he was gone, Wanda felt a presence behind her. She quickly used her telekinesis to lift the knife from a cutting board and pointed it near the intruder's head.
"I guess I should have knocked." Said Clint Barton as he pushed the floating knife away.
"Clint..." Said Hayden, surprised to see the family man at the compound.
"What are you doing here?" Asked Wanda as she approached Hawkeye.
"The misfortune of my children." Replied Clint, and quickly unleashed an arrow on a wall and then another near the kitchen counter. "We were supposed to go water skiing."
Clint grabbed Wanda's hand.
"Cap needs our help. Come on." They started to run followed by Hayden, but Vision came back inside and shouted.
"Clint! You don't belong here." Said the synthesizer.
Clint stopped and sighed, he turned around and gave Vision a weak smile.
"Really? I go on a five minute retreat, and everything goes to hell." He said.
"Measure the consequences of your actions." Said Vision, starting to walk toward them.
"That's measured." Said he.
Vision walked into the path of the arrows, which activated an electric current that immobilized him. He groaned as he was shocked.
"Well, we have to go." Said Clint to Wanda, and started running with Hayden. He expected her to follow him, but as he turned around, he noticed she was standing where she was.
"It's this way." He shouted.
Wanda looked down at her hands, fiddling with her jewelry.
"I've caused enough trouble." She said.
Hayden sighed and walked back to her with Clint.
"Wanda, moping around won't help you get better. Right now someone needs your help. Our help. Steve needs us, and I don't think it's to teach Berlin to fly."
His statement caught his girlfriend's attention.
Clint quickly glanced at Vision, and his eyes widened as the synthezoid shot the arrow with a laser out of its stone, breaking free.
"Shit."
Vision approached Hawkeye, who raised his bow and fired an arrow. Vision used his intangibility to avoid it and quickly disarmed Clint.
Vision pushed him away, but the retiree rolled and got back into position.
"I knew I should have stretched." He groaned as he deployed a baton.
He ran toward Vision and swung his baton, only for it to go through the Avenger's body. He parried one of Clint's punches, to which he swung his baton again only for it to go through him a second time.
